First of all it's Gillett not Gillette.Originally posted by Dirk07 View PostOne thing I don't really understand is why is it regularly suggested that Gillette does not want Rafa?
I could understand that earlier in the season when it appeared things were going wrong to someone without previous football knowledge but surely Rafa is seen as being just as big an asset as Gerard or Torres.
Gillette is a business man first and foremost so why wouldn’t he want to protect such a vital part of his investment.
Or is every time this is brought up just lazy journalism?

Secondly, it has been reported many a time that it was Gillett who brought Klinsmann to the table because he wanted rid of Rafa.

I doubt that Rafa would go "pro" Hicks if he he knew that DIC want him to stay. The only thing he would need to do then would be to back Parry up until DIC buy the club because he would then be replaced by DIC own new CEO.Originally posted by PC Plod View PostWhat makes them so certian Gillett & DIC want rid of Rafa?
My guess is that DIC already have their new manager and his transfer targets lined up. That could be a reason to why we are linked with a lot of players. Gillett and Parry could do the negotiating bit for them until DIC buy the club.
They won't have that much time to get in new players when the deadline is over so they more or less must have something prepared when they finally buy the club.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

That's an interesting theory but surely DIC aren't already planning that far ahead when there are no guarantees they will gain control of the club.Originally posted by AFII View PostI doubt that Rafa would go "pro" Hicks if he he knew that DIC want him to stay. In your opinion.Originally posted by kurtangle01 View PostPure fantasy, fella.
DIC is as professional as you can get. They have everything lined up, stadium, manager, new players and a new CEO already IMO.
They won't sit back and waste any time.Just believe and you never know what will happen.

As I said, mate, it's pure fantasy. If you're completely honest with yourself you'll realise that you have absolutely no clue what DIC will do should they get in because they have never made their intentions public.Originally posted by AFII View PostIn your opinion.

I don't knowOriginally posted by Dhav View PostWho's the manager they have lined up?
that is also a fact but Rafa is far from safe if DIC buy the club. That is what I have been told.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

Well, I'm not going to get into a slagging match, fella, but I'm pretty sure everyone at some stage has a friend of a friend who knows someone but these kind stories rarely turn out to be true.Originally posted by AFII View PostIt's also pure fact that my friend have a friend close to the top of DIC

I'd prefer to deal in the facts we have and the facts are that DIC have been rejected by one of the clubs owners who wants complete control of the club himself.
That's fact, fella, and as I said your post about having everything from players to stadium sorted appears to be nothing more than hope and idle speculation. You don't have one single bit of evidence to back it up.

Thats true apart from washing dirty linen in public what puzzles me is how will Hicks buy out Gillett. Surely he will have to cough up 200m pounds plus a new stadium that will cost about 300m pounds.Originally posted by AFII View PostIn your opinion.

We already have a debt put on the club in the amount of 350m which comes up for a new financing i persume end of this year. So far he hasnt got any financial backers in the US nor any of the banks have come forward to say we are ready to lend you nor has he found any backers in UK.
Its will take atleast 3 years for the stadium to be built and during the 3 three period i wonder how our revenues will increase. Gillett has already ruled out selling to Hicks and i think he is waiting till end of may when the 90-day pre-emtive rights expire so that he can sell to any third party which brings to mind DIC.
Also as of now Hicks has a minority in votes a 4-2 in favour of Gillett, if Parry gets sacked Ayre becomes a new CEO with voting powers so that will makes 3-3 back to sqaure one. Hicks is playing his trump card in Rafa as he knows the fans are on his side and him backing Rafa he thinks the tide will change amongst the fans.
Hicks has lied through his teeth on countless occasions and he is not to be trusted anymore especially all this childish bickering thats been going on through the media on a daily basis, surely boardroom troubles are sorted out within closed doors and not in the public how daft can he be.

The price for Gillett's shares is already agreed so it all comes down to how stubborn Hicks is.Originally posted by Dhav View PostThanks for answering AF. Out of interest how confident are DIC of taking control?
Hicks won't buy Gillett's 50%, that is out of the question. Gillett would rather keep his shares than selling them to Hicks.
That is what I have been told.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
