I dont think so. Which makes this an empty gesture, a pr stunt.

**** off Hicks, we're not so easily won over or so gullible.

    Lying *******s out. Now.
It's another tactical ploy to get more fans on his side. If he can offer Rafa a new contract he's seen as backing Rafa, if he needs the boards backing to offer Rafa a new contract and they refuse, it's not his fault it's Gillette, Parry and Moores.

Also there is the possibility that Rafa would say he'll only sign an extension if Parry goes which would play into Hicks hands
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

BTW, if the agreement for Gillett's shares is in place, and assuming it goes through, how do DIC propose getting Hicks to sell his shares to them?
You have to assume that either they will offer him more cash or are willing to let the whole inability to progress or make big profits without agreeing thing drag on until he decides to cut his losses. Neither is a particularly attractive scenario.

This is my main problem at the minute all the solutions look bad and to me DIC look as much about the money as anyone else and no more obviously trustworthy than what we have now. Whatever happens we badly need it sorted before the summer IMO.
