The link between the venue for the final and our semi final opponents is not lost on any of us. And when you're a billionaire, things are easily sorted.

So here we have it, i'm sticking my neck out and predicting that we will be eliminated by Chelsea and there'll be a dodgy decision somewhere along the way that'll seal our fate.

Call me a conspiracy theorist if you want, but it's at the point now where i EXPECT the above to happen. The final is in his home city and Abramovich would love nothing more than to take his club there to collect the trophy. It'd be the ultimate pinnacle for him and i'm sure he'd do whatever it takes to achieve it. Conveniently for him, UEFA dont strike me as being objectionable to the idea of helping a billionaire, when there might be the small matter of a 'donation' coming their way...

So there you go, that's my prediction.

I hope someone bumps this on the morning of May 1st and is laughing at how wrong i was. Fingers crossed...

Anyone know the Russian for "yep, definite penalty that..." ?

Dodgy Decisions to one side .. we have it in us to put 6 past Chelsea

My altogether different theory is that the Mancs will be "cheated" out of the final.

      Think about it.

An all English final, either the Mancs v Liverpool or the Mancs v Chelski is a logistical nightmare to police...especially as relations between Moscow and London are so frosty.

The easy solution for all would be Barcelona getting there...against anyone.

It is a fix but its in our favour.

UEFA is all about the money. Liverpool, whether they like us or not, is one helluva world wide brand and will pull in millions of viewers so by keeping us away from the other massive brands makes a HUGE final odds on. Now they have the possibility of Liverpool V Utd/Barca final. Whoever gets there out of Barca/Utd is a brand as big as, if not bigger then us. All this makes the final a 100% massive massive money spinner.

I happen to think Barca Liverpool will make more money. Liverpool will bring it in from Asia and Barca will tap into the South American Market. Its all fixed to make the most amount of money. They wont give a **** who wins, but they give a **** on how they can market and make as much money as possible from it.

Would love to play Barca in the final. They are almost everyone's 2nd club....although by some distance in my case.

Anyways, reckon Rafa would have the game plan to do em.
          3rd place. Worst champions ever.

I think we'd spark Barca the **** out. However, there is no shame in losing to them either.

can honestly see us puttin 3-4 past chelsea next week.
"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

Mate, you dont live in Mankchester- I'd never ever ever live it down if we lost to the Scum in the final.

Upsets me when people are so dismissive of the Chebs- they are still a very strong side & are still favourites.

To be fair,I thought last night ref was nearly perfect. One bad decision ( not booking Drogba) and that's all. I watched Sami's incident hundrets of times and sadly it was a dive, not a peno. Just imagine Drogba had been given that kind of penalty, we would call him bigger diver than Ronaldo. And overall this season refs are the last to complain in CL. Refs ****ed us in Premiership this season, not in CL.

He did dive I agree but Drogba made contact with him and not the ball therefore the rules state peno, regardless of how theatrical the player makes his fall to the ground look.Even Drogba thought he had given one away.We could've had another one after Essiens tackle on Babel although that one was harder to see who made contact with the ball.

I thought the ref had an excellent game but he got the Sami pen wrong, and it was made even stranger by the fact he put the whistle to his mouth to give it, then changed his mind.

                            Now why was that?

Probably because Avramobitch reminded him about his bonus via the intercom
