There should be two forums here, one for rational human beings and one for "others". We're all passionate about LFC, but some of the crap that gets posted here just defies belief. If someone expresses an opinion they get called a 'tosser'. If someone disagrees with abusive comments they get called a '******' or a 'faggot'. Hugely disappointing to concede when we did but not the end of the world imo.
1-0 was never going to be enough for us as i would expect them to score at Stamford Bridge. That goal changes the game down there as i think they'll try and hang on to what theyve got. If they do that then we will create chances like we did tonight and id expect us to get an away goal. I wouldnt be in the least surprised if this went to pens again.
Riise could do that header a 100 times over and it wouldnt go in. The fact that a pro footballer at the highest level cant use one of his feet to kick a football is criminal enough and we've paid for that.

We need to be careful at the bridge. We need a goal, they don't. They can play the counter attack game now which is what we would have done if Riise had not scored that goal. I think the important thing next week is to try and keep our heads, hold onto the ball and be patient. We will get chances if they try to defend the resultDare we believe

Doesn't matter if they score one - it doesn't change anything. We still need to score aminimum of ONE at their place. In the same way that the law of averages says they are going to beat us in a CL Semi at some point, it also says Rafa has to score and win at the Bridge at some point.
We don't need to win next week, we just need to score. And maybe 2 will just do it for us. What a time it would be for Riise to score at the right end for us for the 1st time this season.
We've been 3-0 down and turned it round - 1-1 is nothing. We battered Chelsea - pepe had nothing to do. I'm gutted, but we've shown we've still got a real chance. We scored away and Inter & Arsenal - tiem to do it again.Comment

We don't need to chase the game at all. Yeah it's 1-1 but we've just got to play the normal game down there and make sure we take a chance when it comes. I'll be happy with 0-0 till the last 5 mins and then nick a goal.
Having slept on it I don't think we're in that bad of a situation. It could have been better yes but I think now Chelsea will have a dilema about how to approach the game. I think Rafa will just tell the team to start off tight and play on the nerves that I'm sure Chelsea will get as the game goes on. Even if they score they'll know that one goal for us will take it to extra time.

Me too mate. I was gutted. But sh*t happens. At the end of the day it's a game and there are more important things in life. The stick that Riise has been getting is a bit OTT as well.
We're not out of it and I think Rafa will deliberately play down our chances for the next week and I hope the press continue to say we've messed it up. Law of averages says Chelsea will go through, the law of averages also says we're due a goal there

I've got Mancs here this morning saying some unbelievable stuff.
Three of them have all just concurred that they started the game hoping for a Chelsea win, but as the game wore on, with Drogba's theatrics and Terry's thuggery ever-present, they actually felt some disappointment/injustice when Riise headed home the OG!
