We were the better team and if anything should have scored again before Riise had his brain freeze.

Obviously it's hugely gutting to concede such a ridiculous last minute goal but Chelsea aren't that good. We outplayed them for 80 minutes tonight.

What better stage to finally beat them at their own ground and end their unbeaten record than a CL semi final.

It's not going to be easy but we have to believe.

Regarding Riise: No right foot = no confidence with said right foot.
He HAD to deal with that cross, which incidently probably shouldn't have been a cross in the first place.....
When the ball bounced, it looked like it was gonna be head height, it wasnt. I dont think Riise's decision/play was as bad is as made out, and I think or hope emotion played a part in most of the reactions on here.
Bottom line? He needed to react to that cross, he thought that using his head was the best way to do so, it wasn't. The ball skipped off the ground, it didn't bounce up like it appeared it was going to. Error yes, is he a cunt for doing it? Not in my opinion

I disagree mate Riise is just **** he's not a footballer. If he had confidence in his ability to manipulate the ball he wouldn't have done that ****. I'm honestly not surprised that it happened to him. If it was a high cross and a misplaced header that would be different but look at the decision he made with that cross, pathetic.

Terry should have been sent off when he kicked Torres in the ribs, dirty cunt.

Do you know I really do not understand the game of football. I know a professional foul is bad, last man and all that but nobody can tell me Terry’s cynical foul was worse than a professional foul. He knew exactly what he was doing, he went for it and completed it. He actually meant to cheat. Now for me a premeditated foul like that, knowing he could get away with a yellow because he didn’t see red, or anything for that matter, for the Torres incident is far worse than someone over zealous and mistiming a bad foul. Maybe it’s just me.

Another thing I can’t get my head around and we all know it goes on is what is deemed a foul on most areas of a pitch is not deemed a foul in the area - ala Coles push in the area. It was so blatant, almost as blatant as his infidelity (ok alledged just in case). Can someone tell me, honestly, are there written laws of the game that state there are different rules for the area compared to anywhere else on the pitch?

Nervous start. Bossed the game after that. Kuyt goal scored at the perfect time. Chaves were on the ropes after that and we could not land the killer punch. We were naive at the end. We should have just tried to get the ball into the corner and run down the clock. Jar was to blame for the goal 110%, easier to block the cross with his right foor that use his head. Next week a massive task now. Our hold system of play is designed to draw teams onto us and play on the counter. The chavvies will jst sit back next week and defend so it could be a game for Crouch to shake them up. BTW I think we can do it. Thought Torres and SG were a bit below par tonight so am expecting big things from them next week. Lets hope the mancs do us a favour this weekend and kick chelsea around a bit.
