score one and we win as long as we don't concede

I think we will have to score at least 2 and that is the problem. Doable (that a word?!)though.

When the ball bounced, it looked like it was gonna be head height, it wasnt. I dont think Riise's decision/play was as bad is as made out, and I think or hope emotion played a part in most of the reactions on here.
Bottom line? He needed to react to that cross, he thought that using his head was the best way to do so, it wasn't. The ball skipped off the ground, it didn't bounce up like it appeared it was going to. Error yes, is he a cunt for doing it? Not in my opinion
That's a really well put across argument Si.

Whether I agree is a different matter. Right now I want to gut Riise but as you say that is emotion. I've thought he is a poor player for a while now, and I thought what he did tonight was very poor.

The worst thing is that UEFA will give another **** ref the job in the second game so they can avoid us and the Mancs in the final.

We will of course win anyway.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Who thinks us London reds should give Terry a ****ing kicking?
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When was the last time we scored there?
Twin boys - now arriving late August 2008.

Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!

Torres bottled it tonight. End of. However, with time and experience this won't always be the case. He needs to have more nights like tonight.

I'm as gutted as anyone, but maybe the result could work in our favour? We're at our best (usually) when out backs are against the wall. The need to score a few goals should spur us on - if we went there just hoping to hold on to a 1-0 advantage I think we could have come unstuck anyway. Trying to be positive.

On a more serious note - I was cursing Riise myself but I think that is human nature. If Torres had scored one of the three chances he looked like scoring then we wouldnt be Riise bashing. If Cech hadnt saved the boomer from Stevie we wouldnt be Riise bashing.
Like someone has already said, I dont blame Riise. The ball had to be moved out the area and quick and it was just unfortunate that it landed in the back of the net from his noggin. He maybe should have hoofed it out but there was player lurking behind him and he may have missed it. Unfortunate but these things happen.
I reckon we'll do em good an proper next week. They are a very **** team with over paid and over rated nancy boys living off past glorys.

Come on you mighty red men, lets show these cunts how to win in europe AGAIN.
