    In defence of JAR

The stick that the lad has took from his own during one of the darkest moments of his career is in my opinion beyond the pale.

He may not be the perfect player, but in my view the lad tries, and I think it's unfair what is being said about him. If a player does his best, why rip into him in the sort of malevolent way many currently are.

For my money, he's been a decent servant to LFC. He screwed up over a split second decision. Big deal. Get over it and support the lad.

Aside from anything else, his mistake might end up not even mattering. People need to take a step back for a minute.

        He certainly has
Well, here we are in a room with two manky hookers and a racist dwarf. I think I'm heading home.

It was a bad mistake, but I don't think he has had it too bad considering what is at stake. As a Professional footballer we expected him to be able to use his right foot but he couldn't and thats that. End of.

I hope he is given a chance to put it right and can see him scoring in the penalty shoot-out next Wednesday.

He's been slaughtered for it, way beyond what was fair.

Fair enough. Can't honestly say I noticed it TBH.

I think everyone was frustrated after the game, but now we just need to look forward and get on with qualifying for Moscow. JAR now has more insentive than anyone on the pitch to put in a good performance on Wednesday. I'd like to see the travelling fans get behind him, give him unconditional support (as I'm sure they will) and let's see what he's made of. It would be fantastic if he got a goal or played a killer pass to help win us the game.

stupid mistake but the lad hardly did it on purpose. while he might be limited as a footballer he has nonetheless been a fantastic servant to our club and is liverpool through and through. he loves the club as much as anyone im sure, and will be totally heartbroken by what happened the other night. lets just hope it makes him even more determined to put things right on wednesday and cancel out the mistake. he has been crap this season but with that left peg he is always likely to be a menace in front of goal, if given the chance

The lad has helped us win so much and deserves the respect for that, not the slating for a mistake in a match. He isnt the first player to be wary of hitting a ball with his wrong foot, if Torres had off hit that chance in the first half with his wrong foot he would probably have scored.

I heard some of the tossers singing that on Talksport yesterday...

Guaranteed to be their main song on Weds. Hope WE are singing it at the end though!!

He made a mistake, who hasn't in their life?

I don't blame him at all we should have stopped the cross coming in, in the first place.

we all make mistakes, and he didnt do it on purpose. Admittedly he isnt the most talented player in the world but he does try his best.

we cant change the past, but we can change the future. its time to move on and look to towards the game next week.
