Well, since I moved to Oz if I want to watch football I have to get up at silly times, usually around 4:30am for CL. And we're just heading into winter over here too.

So on one hand I could get up, watch scum v scum half asleep freezing my nuts off, wishing it was us, wishing they could both lose, and spend the day knackerred.

On the other hand I can stay in my warm bed and get some extra sleep.

Easy choice.

Bang behind Chelsea now but still I'm not sure whether I could stomach watching the final. I certainly won't watch any build-up, any hype.

Will probably go to the gym and keep an eye on the first half. If the game is any good, and the Mancs are getting beat then I might watch the second half at home, otherwise I won't bother...

As the referee blows the whistle for the start of the Moscow final, I will switch on my DVD of either the 1977 or 2005 European Cup Final and enjoy a quality game whilst the rest of the nation are bored to buggery.

My cousins hubby is a Manc fan and he said yesterday he was gutted Liverpool didn't go through cos he wanted them to play a proper team. Suppose that's the biggest compliment we're likely to get off a Manc.

Can you imagine a sweeter sight..? Avram Grant winning the European Cup ahead of old whisky nose..! Maureen never did it, Ferguson's waited nearly ten years to get there again, and we've done it and been to another final since...!

Funny tho how when we got to Athens & Istanbul we were just another cup team, but as soon as the scum get there it's the ****ing biggest competition in the world - spiteful hypocrites - HATE THEM..!

Yep, said I would watch it but that was just misplaced chirpyness in order to keep myself sane after getting knocked out by the Chavs.

There's no way I'm watching either of them win the CL.

Not sure yet but I've done a superb job of pretending it's not happening, even in this ****ing city. If I didn't know any better I wouldn't have a clue it was taking place tomorrow night.
