same here, I actually sent SOS an e-mail at the start enquiring about joining and within 24 hours they asked for my username here, I gave it and have since heard nothing, that was weeks ago, I'm guessing that my contribution here means that I'm not member material which kind of goes against the Shankly socialism quote that they use on their site, can't see the great man condoning it myself

I can't see it being quite that bad, but I think they need to find someone who can work on updating the website. It doesn't take long, a little bit of news every few days, even an FAQ online that they update from time to time.

Let's face it, the November blow-up with Rafa was once blamed on communication, so now is a good time for SOS to get their communication in order.

Its not like they have full paid staff to deal with enquiries.
Its people doing what they can in their spare time.

As the memberships haven't been processed yet, i would presume they have been unable to use union membership funds. Might explain why they haven't got a full on whizzes and bangs website on the go.

which they should communicate.. if that's the case. It would only take five minutes to put up

posted today on RAOTL in relation to a similar question regarding membership...

"As stated above. I know we keep saying next week, next week but you have no idea how complicated this stuff is. The Financial Services Authority have to go through everything and then the bank has a million and one little questions that need answering. Membership cards have been designed and as soon as the bank give us the go ahead we can print and get information out to people and start communicating with members. Online applications will be up and running once the backlog is cleared.

            Thanks for your patience"

what I'm getting at is they took less than 24 hours to respond to my mail asking about membership with a response asking for information about me and when I replied they never said anything from that moment on, this was before fees were mentioned and smacks of an "our gang" mentality that you get on quite a few fansites .................. and maybe that's why I'm sceptical

could be comsidering the amount of work that was needed that somebody just simply forgot to get back to you.
You know, come in from work, flurry of texts to deal with, kids wanting help with homework, etc etc.

The union needs every member it can get. The more members the stronger it is. In time, there has to be a proper election of offials and you'll be able to vote for who you want......just give them a bit of time.

they have come a long way in just a few months

"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."
