so just out of curiosity what makes you belive this,if he is played out of position and used in a position that he is not used to his strenghs how can he improve us,what is gonna make a difference next season to last season,now iam not talking about his work rate here,but used in the position he has been playin in you need to beable to cross, beat players and get to the byeline(yes his workrate is the only thing he has got going for him)then why hasnt he done it yet....

i dont have a problem with kuyt i have a problem with kuyt being used in that position,a bently or pennant imo are better players in that position....if we always used a 4-4-2 id say sweat kuyt would be a great partner for torres but wide right iam sry i cant ber another season watchin kuyt there

Kuyt has been grief to anyone playing on the left against this 4-5-1 formation. He's not only won balls, he's taken them beyond the full back, with apparently no pace, and still got into scoring positions. Whilst tracking back and giving their left side a hard time.

Kuyt's not the problem at all. ****ing hats off to the fella for getting through the season with you lot on his back and him having to bury his dad.

i'm happy to eat my words as long as u and the other blind and deluded kuyt lovers are happy to admit his **** when even u run out of patience. and no swapping him to right back either please next year cos he's not good enough as either a striker or right sided attacker but works oh so hard.

A lot of this is down to how Rafa plays him. He's either playing deep in a 4411 or in a 4231. Both of those have far more defensive requirements than when he played in a 433 where he scored far more goals. Watch him for Holland, he gets into the box far more often. I think he is a victim of Rafa's tactics, but he still does enough to deserve his place ...... to this point.
