He may be 26, but the lad came up through the non-league system in Holland, no Ajax/PSV youth production line for him, so I reckon he'll only be getting better rather than burning out as so many do these days. We've got a serious player on our hands here, don't think I've ever seen a foreigner more suited to the English game than he is.
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
    Mine angry and defrauded young?

Haha yeah! I had many a football debate with him...he thought Cisse was ace and Kuyt was ****. :whatever:

I hadn't seen much of Kuyt but thought he looked a good player if worryingly one paced. I was totally wrong about the last bit. He's quicker than I thought he was.

Love to know how much humble pie he's eating re Kuyt...although it is of course still early days.

It might just be me but I thought Titi Camara was a star. He scored some screamers and defenders couldn't get near him when he was on form. A total 'Bimbamboozle' merchant - I don't think he himself knew what he was going to do next, never mind the opposition.

Yeah I don't quite get why Titi is so often lumped in with the no-hopers. On his day, which admittedly wasn't every week, he was excellent. I'll always remember his goal at Highbury that beat Arsenal - after running on to Stevie's fantastic through ball and slotting it past Seaman with all the aplomb in the world.

Remember the goal he scored against Leeds at Elland Road in one of his first matches? Superb.

Titi - like Carra said on the 100 PWSTK, when he first signed it looked like we'd signed Pele or some ****. Not only his goals, but some of the things he did with the ball were outrageous. And that game after his dad died - showed some proper guts.

Guy was quality for err.. half a season. Big disappointment in the end.

He was pretty decent all his first season to be fair. The Arsenal goal Shaggy mentioned earlier was well in to the second half of the season.

He fell out with Houllier at the start of his second season as he wasn't getting any action (Heskey had been signed in March 2000) and he was history. A bit like Jari really.

And the couple he scored against Bradford at Anfield.

If he was French, 'they'd' have called him World Class

Oh yes. Was that the same night Vedgy scored a wonder solo goal?

                              Cheers for the link Bob

37 games 10 goals - that's not a bad scoring ratio for someone who didn't lead the line.
