37 games 10 goals - that's not a bad scoring ratio for someone who didn't lead the line.
Biggest thing that irritated me about Houllier was his insistence of playing forwards on the wing. He ruined many a player

Alas he didn't get two, but if I remember rightly he tried an outrageous through ball to Redknapp that came off (only for Redknapp to miss) - a chipped pass with his right foot 'reverse swinging' round the back of his standing leg.

He was ridiculous with his 'square peg in a round hole' mentality.

            Biscan at Centre Half.
            Heskey at Left Wing.
            Diao in the squad.

            Crazy.

Yup. I was in the Kop that night, not sure Heggem knew where he was going really, all of a sudden he was in on the keeper, lol.

Great take, turn and shot from Titi for the 1st goal tho.

Titi was badly advised though - in his second season he'd been out injured and effectively missed one maybe two matches when he could be considered 'fit' and then threw a hissy and wanted to leave to play first team football.

I'd take a bet that it was Willie Mackay who was his agent too.....

I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

You may have been thinking about the solo goal Heggem scored at Middlesborough in a Boxing Day fixture. I'm sure they were wearing green that day.

Maybe the "cult" epithet is reserved for players who capture The Kop's imagination and recieve that extra, fanatical support, e.g. Robbie, but maybe not Mikey.... so it's a good thing.
