              And thats exactly misconception about the whole thing!

              It is not about power (who decides which players to bring in), it is about making the whole organisation / administration more effective. If we get a sporting director, Rafa should still get to pick out targets etc. but he shoulden't handle negotiations in every aspect. Likewise Parry would have far less to do when not handling transfer targets, which basically no CEO does. In most succesfull football clubs , or any other business for that matter, they have people employed to take care of staff reqruitment.

              Basically it would free manpower to focus on other aspects, and especially Parry seems to need this. I can only think of real who has made their SD more powerfull than the manager, and they are changing it now because it doesen't work.

                If this "director" reported to Rafa, no problem. Otherwise, no way. Rafa left Valencia because of the sporting director so to force one on him here would be pretty daft!
