Lineker, hansen, shearer, even lawrenson (although a cheesy ****er) does - I remember watching peter schmiechel on MOTD and he was interesting, talked a lot of sense

With ref this article - the fact he is comparing his move from Arsenal to Boro, to barry's move from Villa to Liverpool is complete and utter ****e - I'd have more respect for him if he had said, "do you know what gareth, the grass isn't all was greener, for example look at michael owen going to real madrid, or henry not getting a game at barca" etc etc etc instead of trying to brng in his own pissed up career.

Schmeichel was basically useless from what I can remember, his points made no sense at all and he was often quite rightly interrupted as he warbled on.

Why did he leave anyway, forced, sacked or of his own accord?
