Hang on they've signed Modric and Gomez, they are going to lose Berbatov and maybe Keane hardly dramatic improvements.Originally posted by Red Chilli View PostNo, not Citeh, just Spurs
Someone else thought Citeh would be a threat, not me.
Spurs finished 30 points behind us last season. But they've made dramatic improvements, not least in their manager
Granted they have a better manager but I can't see where these dramatic improvements have come from.**** OFF HICKS AND GILLETT WE DON'T WANT YOU.

If Berbatov goes, he will be replaced.
Spurs have got a good manager and pots of money (via their owner). They'll be challenging us next season IMO

The frustrating element for me, and I am sure for many other fans, is that we are so close that a couple of truly world class players coming in would mean we are serious contenders and the likes of Spurs and Citeh mere also rans in comparison.
We need to get these players this summer or it could be too late IMO - the gap wil not be closed as we are. Not even with Gaz Baz.
Get Rafa the world class players now and we can spend less next summer beacuse our team will not need that much improving IMO."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

I do find it strange that Spurs can improve that much even though they may lose their 2 best players yet we can't.
If they lose Keane and Berbatov who are they going to replace them with. Eto has already said no as has Villa. For them to lose them pair and replace them with better players is going to take a hell of a lot of money and nouse from their manager.**** OFF HICKS AND GILLETT WE DON'T WANT YOU.

I think they've got the money mate, Levy alone is worth 3-4 billion isn't he?Originally posted by Pacman View PostAnd I respect your opinion.

I also think Spurs had a shocking season last season. They were in the relegation zone for the first quarter and the last quarter they had won the CC cup and were in europe, they were safe from relegation, so the players essentially sacked it off. We'll see but haven't they finished 5th 2 of the last 3 seasons?Originally posted by Gordon Brown

We didn't win the Premiership last season because our squad wasn't good/strong enough. If Rafa really is looking to recruit like for like i.e. Barry for Alonso, Keane for Crouch, Milner for Pennant etc then, in my opinion, he’s not strengthening the squad. He’d be better off keeping a settled squad and adding a couple of quality players.
Probably, but an injury to Gerrard and/or Torres will see us battle it out with the mighty Villa and EvertonOriginally posted by carheex View Post4th again lads?

They have but haven't we finished 3rd - 2 out of the last 3 seasons? We also had those ****ing ****ing yanks trying to replace Rafa with another manager. Also Pako left and don't forget he was Rafa's number 2 for over a decade. I don't care what he says it's got to have affected him.Originally posted by Red Chilli View PostI think they've got the money mate, Levy alone is worth 3-4 billion isn't he?

It's swings and round abouts Spurs had their problems but so did we.**** OFF HICKS AND GILLETT WE DON'T WANT YOU.

Cant beleive some of the comments coming out here.. The transfer window is open 1 day and already were doomed to be 4th. Who thought Arsenal would of had the season they had last year?? A couple of players in and continuity is all we need to be serious challengers. If we had beat the scum home and away last year we would have finished above them not 2 mention the home draws.. Seriously people we are not that far off and in stevie and nando we have 2 real match winners.. Keep the faith people lets back nando and lets go out and win it
