    Philip Degen

I only saw him for 45 mins last night and it is pre season and and and etc, but I cant say he impressed me, he seemed to be knocked off easily and was caught out defensively qyuite easily. I hope it was just nerves.

Yes it’s very early days but it can’t be ignored that the first impressions aren’t good.

He’s had injury problems though and in no way can he be judged on what little we’ve seen so far.

That said I do think some people must be crazy to be including him in our ‘strongest XI’s’ for next season. The way I see it is Arbeloa is first choice with Carra likely to play there when the need arises. Degen may be an option at Anfield against cannon-fodder.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Too early to say really, only Mucas & lil Patchy shone yesterday.
        3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Way to early to judge, I remember Skrtel's first game against Havant & Waterlooville, he was awful that day against a team that were probably one of the lowest down that we have played in modern times.

We need to give the lad some time, and let him develop and then see whether he is any good.

Definitely too early to judge, but in all honesty my expectations were never that high in the first place. Hope he can raise his game when it comes to the crunch, but I expect him to be mainly a sub this season.

I've started not judging players on pre season because last pre season Voronin looked a world beater.

What I think we've got to remember is during pre season these guys normally have a double training session in the day and then have a game at night. Degan has been out for a long time and was more than likely ****ed. I'll pass judgement on him 3 months into the season.

Things haven't changed much since last year. Voronin has looked a world beater this preseason as well.
"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.

Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

Hard to judge a player on last night game. I really dont think he will be used against teams we really need to defend against and we will use Carra on the right for those matches.
He should be good against the lower teams when we need the extra space to attack and dont need to worry about defending as much.

not like the official website to get carried away or anything, they said his goal was the kind of skill Man City were willing to pay 25m for

Just a matter of time before they start referring to him as Voroninho
