First game Arbeloa ever played in a Liverpool shirt he played Left back against Messi in the Nou Camp and owned him.

He's not great at centre back, but he's just as good at left back as he is on the right.

Maybe that is why Rafa is having a good look at Darby this pre season.

Looks likely now after the news about Alvaro doesnt it. I like the look of Darby. Seems very solid defensively and is decent enough going forward. Would be fantastic to see another youngster come through into the 1st Team. Still if he was to be thrown straight into the 1st team I would be a little worried for him. Its a bit much to ask of him really.

He has done numerous interviews in LFC magazine stating that he is extremely happy here, loves the city and would sign for another seven years.

arbeloa is exactly the versatile type of squad player we should have. anything in the 6 million bracket for him is good business.

degan, whether he's capable or not, is not enough at right back. we'll need to buy here i think.
