There is no doubt Keane undermined the whole squad when in fact FAI's unproffesionalism could have bonded the squad together. But no Keane had to belittle McCarthy in front of everyone, which in my book makes him a grade A cunt
The problem was that McCarthy accepted the FAI's unprofessionalism and Keane didn't so Keane ended up fighting a battle he shouldn't have had to.

And as for Keane checking out the training facilities beforehand, you are having a laugh. Even if you ignore the facilities issue what about the gear not showing up??

Also one point that rarely gets mentioned in this whole affair is that Keane was allowed sit out Quinn's testimonial before the WC but it was portrayed as him snubbing Quinn and charity, McCarthy let that situation fester instead of coming out straight after the match and saying Keane's not here as he's resting an injury. Keane ot loads of grief so it's no wonder he wasn't happy to start with.

As i said before i don't think Keane is blameless but if the situation had been managed properly it could have been easily diffused and for that i blame McCarthy and the FAI.

"Sections". A few whoppers in the Anny Road end you mean which was subsequently booed and his real song aired?
You lost cos you said it'd never be sung in Anfield, unfortunately you were wrong as a sizeable section of the crowd sang it last night.

I'm Irish and I hate it cos them scum ****s sang it for Roy and also because we should be well able to come up with something much more catchy and humourous,as indeed was proved by the witty response given to those singing Keano.

Its neither here nor there though, some will sing it,some won't.Don't think any of us have the right to say the others are wrong for liking/disliking it though.

        dont think so
It's not up to him, but he could have made inquiries if it was so important that he had to disrupt the whole tournament and walk out on the team.

Meh, I don't give a ****, he's a **** on so many levels (playing for SCUM, the Haaland tackle) it's pretty immaterial whether he was being a **** during the world cup.
My opinion is that he was being a ****, but that's mainly based on his previous.

You can argue all day long pro keane, anti mccarthy but the bottom line is that as captain of the country he walked out and left his team mates high and dry right before a world cup finals. No excuses.

FFS who cares if he's called Keano or Keane, or Robbie or whatever.

'Aw we dont want to copy manc songs' who gives a **** as long as we're winning games on the pitch? sometimes we're too precious over matters like this, trying to be different to any other club.

All i care about is how the team are doing and atm they're doing pretty damn well so i'm just happy about that. A ****ty debate over what we should call Robbie Keane surely isnt called for?

                          The argument.
Maybe its just me but I'm struggling to see your difficulty in understanding this concept

You said it wouldn't get sung,he said it would therefore you lost the argument.Just accept it lad,no shame in being wrong, happens to the best of us from time to time.

Oh right, I didnt realise you took the internet that seriously my apologies, I thought you were either right or wrong, I didnt realise it was as serious as winning and losing. Do you run and tell your family when you "win" an argument on the internet and they give you a lolly?
