Read the above again and again.

Rafa won us the ****ing European Cup, Houllier did not. Whats your ****ing point? You just can't accept that your a whiny bitch who doesnt see that the playing field changed the minute Abramovich arrived.

It takes time to mould a squad, it took Ferguson 7 ****ing years to do. Rafa has now moulded his squad in 4 years. Chelsea are an exception because they have spent a ridiculous amount of money and continue to do so.

Stop being so myopic. Rafa has achieved more points (in one season) and turned into a major European force again.

Just out of interest (not having a go or anything), but who would you replace Rafa with?

so when do you draw the line? we will never compete with the russians millions.

as you say yourself footballs moved on and in that context i don't think there is a single manager today that will be given the luxury of 7 years to deliver the title

Ok Rage, there are 'subtleties' that you don't seem to get. Rafa has made progress in the league and we're very close of winning it based on last season's effort alone. If it's not been for crucial defeats to our major rivals and failure of picking up points against them we would have been very close. This is somewhat obvious ... but not to you unfortunately.

The goalposts have shifted between Evans and Houllier and now the Benitez reigns; at SOME point a decision will need to be taken as to whether the club has stagnated or worse gone backwards under Rafa but I'm of the opinion that we are still progressing - it's hardly Rafa's fault that we can't compete with United and Chelsea in the transfer market.

IF over-rotation and bizarre team selections undermine this seasons league campaign then questions probably need to be asked.

at this moment in time i have not even considered who. but i'm 100% sure that sooner or later if rafa fails to launch a genuine title challenge he will have to go.

Your a very naive man you know that. The money spent by Chelsea and Man Utd over the last 5 years is precisely why Rafa has had such a difficult task and not many people could have seriously expected him to compete for the title with such an uneven balance.

Last season we def closed the gap, down to 11 points. If it hadnt been for that blip around xmas time we would have won the league, or if we had fared better in 1 or 2 games against the top 4.

Whats happened over the last 5 years is that everytime we add a quality player to our squad, our rivals have spent even more. Rafa isn't a magician, he can only do the best he can with the cards he is dealt.

Get a ****ing grip son and stop whining like a bitch all the time
Exactly. & if you want evidence of the increase in strength of the Prem since Rafa's been in charge, you only need to look at how English teams are dominating the CL of late.
                    3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Did Houllier ever miss out on the CL and cost us **** loads of money? Has Rafa?

Did Houllier ever look like turning us into a major CL force? Has Rafa already done it?

Did Houllier spunk big money on utter ****? Does Rafa.

                          Give me strength.

Rafa has competed with Chelsea in 1 vs 1 matches very well with an inferior squad. Rafa has won us the european cup and knocked chelsea out of europe twice at the semi-final stage.

3 seasons out of 4 he has taken us to the final stages of the Champions League. We are most respected english team in europe. Nobody wants to get drawn against Liverpool.

Winning the league is all about having a good enough squad. Rafa is building that. As of right now we have an excellent first 11 and is enough to make us compete. And he clearly building for the future because he the club knows that bring in the best young players from around the world is the only way to compete with Abromovic. Add to our squad, youngsters like Pacheco, Bruno, Nemeth, Darby, Amoo, Spearing and Plesis and you will see that we are building and doing it very well.

We will compete this season, but if you seriously expected us to win the league in the last 4 seasons then you are deluded because we wouldnt possibly have competed over a 38 game period with a weaker squad due to a limited budget.
