I don't think anyone is arguing that point, but it depends on what your definition of progress is. If we finish fourth, some people will just view that fact as the be all and end all, and demand Rafa's head.

But what if we finish fourth, but close the gap even further, are still chasing the league up until the last 10 games of the season, are playing more attractive football...but still we finish in fourth, just behind the top three and way infront of fifth?

But in the pursuit of the league, our other cup runs fell wayward, out in the semi of the FA cup, the reserves being beaten in the quarters of the League Cup and a narrow quarter final loss in the CL....so another trophyless season, but a team playing better, and looking far more threatening.

But because we didn't finish top two, that's not clear enough progress? Nah, i don't buy that.

If we finish fourth, but improve in the way i've said, he will. And then we'll have another summer of your ramblings to entertain us through the quiet off season. At least you've kept the forum alive with your opinion. Not quite as good at being right as DJS was, but you're not doing too bad

None taken. I suppose it boils down to what is acceptable progress. If we end the season in 10th place, 30 points off the top, a CL semi final and an FA cup would probably not save Rafa. For most, the league is key.

Nah, DJS knew how to argue and be a proper WUM. This one reminds me more of KatG, inane arguments with little forethought or planning, just opinionated for the sake of it.

The regularity with which we reach the latter stages of the Champions league is already being taken for granted, we are bound to have a bad one at some point, it's just the way football is, should that contribute to Rafa being sacked?.

I'm of the opinion that what ever happens, he should get more time, i don't see anyone out there to replace him with for a long term post, 5 seasons of taking apart & rebuilding AGAIN!!!.

Had the takeover been the success it was supposed to be, then we would have seen Rafa with funds to buy 'Who HE want's', that's what was meant to happen, but still we find he's working with hands half tied, not able to afford the BIG BIG names to add to the few we have.

The top 2 don't have these constraints on them, the manager wants the manager gets. Simple.

                              No I agree.

10th isn't acceptable for a club like Liverpool.
