That is the way forward dude, if everyone did that more and then tried to make a positive difference by making good posts in threads and responding to well thought out posts by others rather than getting involved in slanging matches, it makes this place better for everyone AND stops anyone playing the troll getting the limelight they usually crave.

As we move into the new Year we are going to be putting some serious effort into getting this place back to being a proper community, one where different views are accepted IF they are appropriately expressed but those trolling, only making a negative impact on the site and not respecting their fellow posters or the ethos of the site as a whole, are not allowed to dominate the general mood.

Well in for admitting your mistake. Just a quick note to say that it would be appreciated if people could try not to make this thread into an ongoing argument about the same old issues.

We should create a sticky with the title; Same Old Argument and have everyone of the whiners post their recurring complaints there. That'll free up all the other threads to focus on the relevant points, prevent every thread from being obliterated to the instant gratification brigade and result in less time wasted by the casual observers on here reading the constant drivel that we seem to be mired in.

It's Christmas, we're top of the league. We're better than any other team in the country. Enjoy it!

Bump - some interesting posts in here - some have changed their tune somewhat.........rage now wants Rafa sacked apparently but was willing to cut him some slack in the summer if he mounted a challenge......always raising the bar eh :wink:

i'm sure you'll find that as far as i'm concerned my opinion once the season started is that he wins the title this season or is sacked.

regardless of what the majority opinion on here may be there are plenty who share my sentiments.

why? was the same not said to houllier. i remember a banner in the kop one year practically saying this.

why was souness, evans, houllier all sacked if not because they could not deliver the title.

So you'd say to the manager "Go and win the league over the League and European Champions or you're out?". Houllier wasnt sacked because he couldnt deliver the title, he was sacked because we werent even challenging for it.
