we hoof the ball, we play with no width we fail to break down the opposition - is exactly the same as houllier style, just because we have a few more continental names and headbands on the pitch doesn't make it any different.

we were defensively solid under houllier and had a quality central midfield with a world class striker - is exactly the same under rafa.

you talk about possession football, thats just like one of houllier's interviews ' we had 90 shots, 46 corners and 86% of the football'.....still didn't make up for not winning the title did it gerard? the fact you were a fan made no difference in the end either? i remember the banner in the kop that year about must do better. the sentiment is exactly the same for rafa.

We'd be more like newcastle then, could score for fun, but can't defend to save our lives.

Evans has got us no closer than anyone of our other managers to winning the league recently.
Evans never brought us the Champs League tho' in his first season, followed by the FA cup the next.

Respect is earned, and Rashid has yet to earn it. All he does is try and spread gossip and rumour as fact. Why should i respect that?

Because the forum would end up in disarray if people are given free reign to abuse fellow posters.

Rashid, whatever his faults, argues his points articulately and doesn't resort to name calling. That level of respect should be due to all on these boards. If you have a genuine complaint about any poster contact a mod or report a post.

Not only is personal abuse something that should have no place on the forum, but quality of the thread suffers for it.

Reading through this thread, by far the most interesting posts have been where people are discussing things sensibly rather than falling into the trap of tit-for-tat disputes designed to show others up rather than put across something insightful. Wouldn't hurt for us all to be mindful of that when responding to people whose views we strongly disagree with.

You probably need to take a step back and look at the broader pattern here. There is movement abroad to assainate the character of Rafa based on "insider information", conjecture and little else. Some people are likely to take umbrage with that.

If when they attempt to debate those more "bitter than bitters" tell them they "have the memory of a goldfish" or their points are arrogantly dismissed out of hand. Well I think you know what comes next?

If you don't, head on over to TLW and that'll give you a pretty good idea of what is coming.

I can see where this is going, regardless of the rights or wrongs, if not reigned in this place will end up w/certain posters posting the same thing in every thread and certain other posters will always react, in every thread.

It'd be a shame for it to end up like TLW was. And trust human nature is such that it will unless steps are taken.

Sack Rafa and bring back Roy Evans.

                            Awesome.

Lol it does seem to be the same in every thread, none stop Rafa bashing no matter how it starts. Certain folk try to pretend just to give a fair review and not always be up Rafas arse but then non stop attack him.
I'm a 31 year old and would expect myself to be above all the childish behaviour but have had to rewrite a few posts due to silly remarks. I am all up for talking about football but when the same people say the same stuff in every thread it gets very annoying and makes you want to attack back.

Some will give up and stop posting in the LFC section.

Every thread is now becoming an anti Rafa thread and it`s becoming tedious.
