And also gave Houllier's Liverpool a footballing lesson at Anfield in the Champions League only a few months after they had been beaten by Houllier's Liverpool in the Uefa Cup, if you recall. Also had players like Xavi, De Boer, Rivaldo, Overmars, Kluivert etc.White liquid in a bottle = Milk

The thing is I think the period after ten Cate left showed that he couldn't do it on his own. He then failed to assemble a team of assistants/coaches around him that allowed him to continue his success despite by then having probably the most talented squad in Europe.Originally posted by Rashid View PostHow were Barca genuine challengers when Rijkaard took over? They hadn't win a single trophy for 5 years and spent every season in the Uefa cup being beaten by the likes of Houllier's Liverpool. The Irony is that he had the good sense to keep the three or four good players that Houllier signed.Originally posted by Rashid View PostThat team could have been kept as squad players and new players bought into the first team - instead he went about collecting squad players. The irony is he has won more with Houllier's men than he has with his own.
