Kuyt was no worse than any of our other midfielders today. He did OK. I don't particularly rate him but he does great things for the team.

Yeah, jogs with the ball down the wing so the team do not get tired when counter-attacking

I think we'd have to have Carragher and Agger as centre backs, Carra today showed how important he is in heart of defence.

Not sure who is best out of Lucas and Xabi (I'd say it's quite even)

Also I'd probably swap Gerrard and Keane

We need more movement off the ball. Its not happening and as a result we are pumping long balls up front.

Absolutely. In fact he was better than the rest of the midfield imo, Alonso's passing was shocking, Gerrard wasn't in the game until the last 10 minutes, and Benayoun wasn't there at all. Kuyt was involved in every good move we had, his distribution was decent and he tried to give us width. He's no winger in a 4-4-2 formation, that's for sure, but he's pretty much the most effective "wide" player we have in the squad at the moment. Which isn't a particularly good thing, but had the other midfield players also performed to their capabilities that game would have been very different.
