Reds Confirm New LFC Stadium Delay
Fri 29 Aug 2008
Further to todays announcement from Liverpool FC regarding the delays facing our new stadium (click here)
Spirit of Shankly have released the following statement:
SOS has been expecting this news for over a week. It is our firm belief that the owners have neither the resources nor the intention to deliver this project and are using the current economic climate as a subterfuge whilst they attempt to drive up the potential sale value of the football club.
As SOS has maintained throughout this debacle, the owners have no money, no credibility, no honesty, no integrity and no dignity and are not fit custodians of our club. We demand their immediate resignation and the sale of the club to fit and proper owners.
Let's face it, this should come as no suprise to anyone. We have all been warned no end of times that this day would come. Maybe all LFC fans will finally accept that the Yanks are no good for the club.
There was a poster on this site some months back who managed to talk up the Yanks and get alot of people on side. His articles were very well worded and as none of knew definite facts it was hard to argue with him. I know Tom and others tried, but many on this site fell for rubbish he spouted.
Now there surely can be no doubt amongst us now. I seriously can not see how anyone can see the (inevitable) delay of the stadium as a good thing.
What does wind me up is that we have had since the champions league semi to make our voices heard and yet suddenly, when it matters most, people are saying we should be protesting now.
This club is a ****ing joke at the moment. What next? Owners deciding which players can and can't be transfer targets?
