For me the worse thing for footy has been sky
Definitely been a double edged sword. The thing is once we set out on this route there is no going back. So that leaves us stuck in this financial hellhole with sky and trillionaires running the show.

    I dunno.....

you can't blame any of them, they're trained to act like tools, just like police and forces, take any young lad and train them to act in a certain way and you get exactly what you asked for

I desperately want Dubai to take over LFC but even if it happens and we win the league under them, although of course I would at first be joyous, I have a feeling it may be a rather empty, hollow joy. It's depressing. As 'RoadEnd' says above, where's the satisfaction and the glory in winning the title if you're multi-billionaires? Or trillionaires...
        Spot on mate.

I am far more interested in what's happening down in lower leagues where the football's real, and have enjoyed following the fortunes of Bournemouth (girlfriend's dads team), Macclesfield (friend at work's team), Salisbury and Weymouth (places we regularly visit). And AFC Liverpool
        Good to see you!

*That said - look at AFC Liverpool....
                    That's what I've been thinking.
Years ago Italy had all the money, breaking transfer records. Next it was Spain, now it's England.
It won't last forever. I guess it's a matter of being bought and spending like crazy, or riding it out.
Well, here we are in a room with two manky hookers and a racist dwarf. I think I'm heading home.

in all honesty - i'd despair when a swanky, cocky, loud mouthed billionaire took over to sign each and every so called big name player and then sack the gaffer at the drop of a hat if doesn't meet his unrealistic expectations. not for me, no way. i'd rather see the team fight it out for a cl place than watch a plastic team win a plastic league.
i just reckon it wouldn't feel right if we did a chelsea or city...
