if alonso also plays i'd be tempted to play gerrard instead of kuyt. i can see riera as a 2nd half sub.

too early a game for agger hence skertl and aurelio defends better so far than dossena.

looks good on paper, perhaps bringing Lucas on for Kuyt and moving Gerrard in to Kuyt's position if needed later on

I don't think the Ferdiand/Torres thing is true. The fact is that Torres needs service and against United we have given him **** all, absolutely nothing to feed on and no one has got close to him to give him options. An isolated striker with little service will pretty much always struggle.

Dave you talk too much sense for this forum. That being said, if Torres was a Drogba like striker then he would be giving Rio/all Defences real hell

In fairness with SG and Torres not fit I think the only question marks is over the Babel non selection. Does that mean Kuyt will play up top with keane behind him or will Benni play behind Keane with Kuyt out wide. I was sure babel would start on the right. it would have given us width and pace on both wings!!
