Ahhh but no, the difference is that most of the Rafa bashers on here are simpletons who are too impatient and unable to see the bigger picture about what Rafa is building here. Yesterday was a glimpse of where we are headed and most Liverpool fans know that, which is why Rafa is loved so much.

Shame there is a minority of impatient simpletons who cannot understand

If yesterday's type of performance becomes 'the norm' and is seen on a regular basis, i promise you nobody will have any major gripes with the manager.

The Rafa haters hardly say what needs to be said. If you listened to them you would believe that the first 5 games is how Rafa wants his team to play. Yesterday was how Rafa wants his team, total and complete domination of the opposition.
Give them no time on the ball and defend from attack and keep them penned into their own halfs. Keane was superb at this yesterday along with Kuyt, pressurising their defenders as soon as they had the ball leading to sloppy passing and mistakes.

Fair play 'haters' is a bit extreme will take that back. Yup fingers crossed we see more of that style and dont go back to how we were playing at the start of the season. Hopefully we can only get better with Torres and Gerrard still to come back and the new players get time to settle in.
Football is a funny old game, was out with a couple of scum fans last night. Both going on about how they have no width, Fergi losing it and playing Rooney out on the wing and how they have no confidence and cant string passes together. It felt like being on here all over again but for once I could laugh about it, bet its not a fun time to be on the Manc forums

Now, I really really hate to be a wet blanket, especially on a day like this, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

It wouldn't be the first time we've played like Brazil then gone on to lose against the bottom dwellers.

I think the fans can play a big part in preventing this. If the supporters can generate another big match atmosphere against Stoke next week (after all the 3 points are just as valuable as the United points), then I’m sure the players will respond.

Our good Champion’s League performances aren’t just down to Rafa’s tactics, the atmosphere at Anfield plays a huge part.

I'd like to think that as the season goes on, if we're genuinely involved in the race for the title, this will rub off on the crowd and help the atmosphere.

As for Stoke next weekend, there's no chance of an atmosphere similar to yesterday's, i think it'll be a typical low key atmosphere and unless we roar into a 3-0 lead in the first half, it wont be a huge one.

Long as we win, i dont really care.

Obviously it won’t compare to the United game but surely everyone should still be on a high and with a genuine belief that this could be our year, every point/game should be vital.

As you say, as long as we get the three points, that’s all that matters, especially with either United or Chelsea or both dropping points.

I dont know if this proves anything but I just compared Rafa's first 4 league season record with Bob Paisley's. If I calculate Paisley's points tallies as if it were 3 points for a win and then average it over 38 games per season as opposed to the 42 games, his record for the 4 seasons were 285 and Rafa's 284.

I dont know if this proves anything but I just compared Rafa's first 4 league season record with Bob Paisley's. If I calculate Paisley's points tallies as if it were 3 points for a win and then average it over 38 games per season as opposed to the 42 games, his record for the 4 seasons were 285 and Rafa's 284.

Just goes to prove how much more difficult it is to win the league these days. The top teams are just that much better than they were back in the day.

I thought Rafa's formation and line up against Villa was ****, I really did and said so at the start of the match thread. Against Manu yesterday I was supporting him to the hilt, for me, again said at the start of the match thread, I thought he'd got his tactics spot on and Fergie had fecked up. I'll try and do it before the game so if I'm wrong, I'm wrong for all to see. And before anyoen says, no, I don't think I know more than Rafa, I haven't got an FA coaching badge, and Rafa's forgotten more about football than I've ever known, thats not the point.

If I disagree with Rafa's formation, I'll bloody well say so, if I agree with it, I'll bloody well say so too, it doesn't make me any less of a fan to have my own ****ing mind.

Its one personal attack on Rashid, Sarb and now Craig after another these days, its getting ****ing daft. I can't move on these forums for the abuse these 3 are getting.
