I presume the figures are pretty close though? Maybe you are forgetting that when Rafa took over the Chavs, Arsenal and Man U were so far ahead of us with far superior players that he needed to spend a little more money than them.

GH was competing at a time when United were spending £30m on defenders and £28m on foreign midfield players mate. Arsenal were going through whole seasons unbeaten. Let's measure how well we do in the league, not circumstances.

Its time people looked at the facts. He has spent **** loads, been here 4 years and the team can't string 4 passes together.

Despite their "****ness" Rafa has won more with the players Houllier had than with the ones he has spent £200m on.

We are a charitable bunch. No other big club would accept this type of football, this much money spent and nothing to show for it in 2 years.

You can't argue with facts.

They are not facts at all, nearly every transfer is an undisclosed fee. If you take the Torres deal there is 7 million difference between some of the figures being quoted, add in the Heinze deal when there was about 3 million differnce and you already have 10 million differnce.
The lists can be drawn up to show United spend more than us or the other way around depending on how you want them to look.
Hardly a fact we cant string 4 passes together, last season I remember sitting in the oppositions half for nearly the whole match passing it round them

As yet, we have no devine right to challenge for the league. Its been a long time since we could even be counted as the second best team in the league and that was before Chelsea came along and spent a fortune.
We are going in the right way under Rafa, its clear you would want a new manager after every 2 years if they fail to win the Premiership.
How about the fact since Rafa we have been the best team in Europe, his success in Europe has allowed him to purchase players like Torres and Mascherano?

There is a difference Gillett and Hicks bought Liverpool they weren't appointed like Mourinho would be. When they bought our club they said all the right things and promised us the world now they have gone back on their promises and I want them out like every other Liverpool fan.

Forget Madrid, how about Barcelona? They won 2 La Liga's and 1 Champions and had some fans rioting to keep Rijkaard but he was sacked for not winning the league last term.... Rafa has it good here.
