I didnt say you were straight forward. And i didnt say everyone has to be in one camp or the other.

    really?

to be fair craig, i read far more posts that back the manager with a logical appraisal than i do the negative ones.

its the negative ones that get 'exposed' when others dig into the facts and circumstances. when someone backs rafa with a reasoned and researched argument, this doesnt get turned on its head.

so if either 'side' were to be called blind it'd have to be the negative side. blind as in they have a record of not considering the club's situation as a whole and instead just simplify things as if rafa was playing champ manager or think we were the dominant club in the land when he came.

just my take on things of course so no offence meant to anyone

The only reason that happens is because far more people either cant, or refuse to see the negatives.

I've read several of the negative arguments, which havent been 'exposed' or 'turned on their heads' by the blind faith category. What they'll usually do is just ignore such arguments and throw in a good old fashioned 'why dont you go and support chelsea?', in some bizarre belief that they've then proved their point.

That, along with 'agenda against the manager', is one of the most laughable expressions thrown about on here.

Aahh the old they're too stupid to see what I can see card. In the context of a discussion about "logical appraisal", somewhat ironic. Surely, if it were that logical.....

Can't agree. He consistently sits with his elbows on the table, and fails to rectify this mistake.

I see the weather is **** again.

              Anyone watch Eastenders last night?

There are certain facts that can't be ignored:

He won the CL in his first season and the FA cup in his second and got us to the CL Final the next year.

That is the record of an excellent manager.

Our points tally under Rafa has increased and the gap between us and 1st place has decreased.

He has been backed in the transfer market.

He has got a squad he has assembled.

We haven't challenged under his tenure as yet.

So he deserves at least this season to show he can challenge for the title.

If he can't then an assesment will need to be made.

If you read some of my posts you'll see what I think and it's far from rosey.

The plain facts are pretty much as i've stated, he has been backed especially under the yanks he hasn't delivered a title challenge, but he did very well in his first 3 years.
The problem is people (i'm going to include myself in this) have seen the crap we have played so far and can see it continiung because of what they feel Rafa's general outlook to the game is about. He has made similar mistakes over and over again and has started the season by doing the same thing.
He then has the whole GH thing going on in the background too, a lot of people can see similarities between the two.

The other side of the fence sees him as all knowing and have a more positive outlook on him due mainly to 2005. Past success should only buy you so much.

Put simply, he deserves our support for at least this season due to his early success. If he ****s it up then so be it.

He certainly has my support mate, i have said before and i'll say again, i do NOT want him sacked. I'd like to see him tweak a few of his methods, but ultimately, there isnt anyone better available right now.

OK, so this is a bit of a record for me, more than one post in a week. Only got one thing to say:

Where are the Rafa Bashers Now?????????

Today we were awesomely better than the mancs - whose squad value must have been twice - three times ours. Riera looked great, and I didn't see very much hoof-ball, just lots of nice movement and one touch passing.

More of the same please Rafa...
Rafa Benitez gave us pride again. He gave us hopes and dreams. He made us feared across the Continent and took us closer to the Premier League Title than anyone since King Kenny. He became one of us and fought on our behalf. Rafa "got" LFC. For me he will forever be a legend. I'd have him back in a heartbeat. YNWA Rafa.

They only make an appearance when they have negative stuff to say bout Rafa and the team. It's always the case with the and we all know who they are. Rafa got it spot on today. Lets hope he does the same next week against stoke. That win should make every player feel 10 foot tall.
                                Dare we believe
