It isn't difficult to know when the players are away. Just look at the fixture list.

What I don't understand is why he leaves his prized possessions, including an Olympic medal unprotected. Not suggesting he keeps them in a sealed vault - but for the money these guys are earning, you would have thought they could make their property a lot more secure.

      Guilty over Dudek theft

Oct 10 2006 By Homa Khaleeli, Liverpool Echo

A LIVERPOOL man has admitted burgling the home of Reds star Jerzy Dudek.

James Joseph Birch, of Craigs Road, Tuebrook, pleaded guilty to two burglary charges, one at Dudek's Wirral home and another at a house in Cheshire.

Wirral magistrates were told yesterday the 20-year-old targeted Dudek's home in Links Hey Road, Caldy, in June and an address in Dunston Lane, Burton, in September.

Birch, who admitted two charges of burglary, was arrested earlier this month after police found £300,000 worth of property in a raid on a house in Tuebrook.

Dudek was in Poland when his football memorabilia and Porsche Carrera were stolen.

The car was found in Southport.

In September, an Everton fan received a nine-month suspended prison sentence suspended for a year at Liverpool crown court after being caught with some of Dudek's football mementoes.

Businessman Martin Roche, 26, of Brainerd Street, Old Swan, pleaded guilty to handling stolen goods.

Birch, defended by Richard Stanley of James Murray solicitors, was remanded in custody and will appear at Liverpool crown court for sentencing on November 6.

Three other men arrested after the burglaries remain on police bail. VICTIM: Jerzy Dudek's Porsche was stolen

          Everton fan? Hmm.

Its weird these burglaries happen on Champions League nights. Bitterness, maybe?

Not necessarily. Everton don't play on Champions League nights so their players are always in.
            .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.
