Normally when i see Kuyt i think yes there is a high work rate, but that is not enough.
Today his work rate was great and so was his performance overall, well done Dirk.Comment

He gets stick from all quarters and im normally at the front of the queue to dish it out, so fair play to him today, i thought he did really well, was a thorn in the side of their CB all game.
Should have scored twice without a shadow of a doubt and i think that had we lost the response to Dirks performance might not be so positive.

I think Babel's goal epitomises Mascherano and Kuyt's performance overall in the match. Mascherano, fighting and tenacious to win the ball and Kuyt always there in support. Kuyt was very good yesterday. That chance in the 2nd half, to me, just highlights that he does not have a natural striker/finisher's instinct. He did the most obvious thing and struck it to the nearest part of the goal. A top finisher would've tucked it away.
Also, there was a ball we played across the face of the 6 yard box, from right to left, in the 1st half and a natural poacher would've been tapping it home, but Kuyt was nowhere to be seen.
He isnt an instinctive striker for me.Comment
