He gets stick from all quarters and im normally at the front of the queue to dish it out, so fair play to him today, i thought he did really well, was a thorn in the side of their CB all game.
Should have scored twice without a shadow of a doubt and i think that had we lost the response to Dirks performance might not be so positive.
Cant and never will be able to trap a bag of cement, but hey ho, a great performance from him today and was my personal MOM.
If you've lost your faith in love and music the end won't be long
I think Babel's goal epitomises Mascherano and Kuyt's performance overall in the match. Mascherano, fighting and tenacious to win the ball and Kuyt always there in support. I wonder if any other player playing out wide would have had the nous to come in to support Masher the way that Dirk did.
"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.
Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."
Mascherano was my man of the match. WHAT a player this lad this.
well he did everything to make up for the fact he fell asleep for the fist goal and let Tevez go and not bother to track him. He did show some great skill, (none more so than for the second goal) made driving runs, passed it well and made great tackles.

Kuyt was very good yesterday. That chance in the 2nd half, to me, just highlights that he does not have a natural striker/finisher's instinct. He did the most obvious thing and struck it to the nearest part of the goal. A top finisher would've tucked it away.
Also, there was a ball we played across the face of the 6 yard box, from right to left, in the 1st half and a natural poacher would've been tapping it home, but Kuyt was nowhere to be seen.
