How much of an impact do you think they will have this season? I think Pako leaving last year was a big blow, from what I understand Rafa isn't the type of manager to have friendships with players and Pako seemed to fill that gap and when he quit it left a void.

Pellegrino was supposed to have been a big influence on the training ground when he was here as a player, he helped to bed in the zonal marking system and had a good relationship with quite a few players...

Last couple of games we have stopped being woeful defensively from wide set pieces. That could be down to Pellegrino I suppose. It was certainly something that seemed to improve for us when he was a player.

Overall I'm not sure what influence those two will have but I think that we did need extra people to back Rafa up and for him to bounce ideas off after last season - so their presence is welcome.

3 goals conceded in 7 games, so Mauricio is having a good impact even though our defence is already rock solid. The players seem to be more motivated and have a better spirit this year and you would think that would be down to Sammy. Just look at how he celebrated our winner on Saturday. That enthusiasm he has, has to rub off on the players.

I reckon Sammy Lee will be a inspiration to the players his enthusiasm and passion for the club will a massive moral and attitude booster let alone what he'll bring tactically.

Pelligrini will have the job that Pako did. The organisational job, sorting players roles and the sort. I think Sammy will take part in the coaching but his role is to gee up the players, show them the passion, make them understand about Liverpool and I think with the amount of foreign footballers in the side, he is exactly what we need. Bolton played good football but didn't have the players to implement his style. Therefore they crashed and burned. As for the rest, he was a coach and has limited imput with how they go out on a Saturday.

At England he was not even an assistant. And it must be said that everyone who has been coached by Sammy has had nothing but positive things to say about him.

Thinking about it, he wasn't an assistant at Liverpool under Houllier either, so I can't see where you're going with that one.

That would be down to the type of footballer brought in by Allardyce. It is simply not possible to change from Long ball to a passing game by only signing average players such as Mikel Alonso on a free. Blton don't have the money to ever get to be an entertaining passing side.

When Sammy managed Bolton they played attractive football I thought - they just did so at the expense of physicality and defensive organisation. That brief period of time is pretty much the only point where we can say we get any impression of what Sammy's philosophy or at least ideas on how football should be played. Unless you are very close to the club (or I guess Bolton or England) I'm not sure how one can form much of an impression on what he contributes as a coach/assistant.

He looks the part, looks as in looks. I've already said that it sounds weird. Same reason that Peter Shilton and Phil Neal never looked the part.

Make a pledge, Rashid. Make a pledge that you'll give an apology to Rafa if he wins the league. Your negativity towards him makes you sound very strange mate. He's our manager, whether you like it or not, and you should get behind him.
