When will Martin Skrtel get the praise he deserves?

Not from us, but from the footballing public at large?

Not that it really matters of course, but I still get the impression Skrtel is massively under-appreciated in the game. IMO he is steadily cementing himself among the top echelons of central defenders in this country.

People may suggest his occasionally rash, overly-aggressive tendencies but in that sense he's no different to, say, Carvalho. He is a monster. A rash.

I regularly encounter fans of other clubs still questioning Skrtel...as though he's a weak link or he still has something to prove. I know a lot of Mancs who belittle him as a poor man's Vidic - which is complete horse ****.

He's been here almost 10 months now and for me the lad has been a revelation. Another fantastic signing by Rafa.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Didn't realise how strong he was until he shoulder barged yakubu who is probably one of the stockiest players in the premiership and he went flying.

"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

Skrtel - my man of the match yesterday. I spoke to a manc supporting friend of mine yesterday, and mentioned Skrtel's class, he didn't even seem to know who I was talking about...
Jesus Quintana: You ready to be ****ed, man? I see you rolled your way into the semis. Dios mio, man. Liam and me, we're gonna **** you up

The Dude: Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man

A good point. Skrtel strikes me as the type who would happily just keep playing along and not worry about praise. He seems like a total team player and very unselfish.
          Another genius Rafa signing.
Oh the man is a midfield maestro
and his passes are sooo delightful

he does look superb, I remember that debut against Havent in the cup and he was all over the shop, thought we'd bought a dud. But the man has improved and is a beast.

I think he will be in Carra's shadow for a while yet. But a few more months of first team footy and maybe a couple of goals and he will be better recognized

Skrtel's been excellent and we MUST NOT even contemplate letting Agger go.

Rafa should get the sack if he let Agger go.

                      My MOM yesterday

Played brilliantly throughout the season, if he continues this form then we will be extremely difficult to get past.

I thought it was interesting that Skrtel was playing on the right-hand side of defence yesterday. Doesn't he usually play left with Carra on the right? Anyway, this could possibly foreshadow Agger coming in on the left with Carra at right-back. Could be an awesome option away to the big teams and in Europe.

Nope - he has always played on the right. He doesn't have much of a left foot but Carragher does, therefore Carragher always starts on left.
