I don't agree with the whole 27 out of 30 would be great menality. In my mind 30 out of 30 is what we should be aiming for, we've already beaten ManUre and Everton, we have the team to beat Chelsea.

If we get 25 points from those games (manageable as that may seem on paper) I will be ecstatic. Then we really could start talking seriously about winning the league.Originally posted by The Birdman View PostThat's a very friendly run of games, Portsmouth home will be tricky and maybe Blackburn away but if we get a minimum of 25 points from the next 10 games and don't lose to Chelsea we'll be right in the mix.I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

You are all mental if you think we are going to get 27 points from the next 10 games, completely mental. There's bound to be the odd game where we have a decision go against us (like Stoke) or we just underperform. We should definitely pick up enough points though that we are right in contention come Xmas

I agree, the odd thing could happen, someone could get sent off etc etc. But you always hear about managers of teams fighting relegation going through the fixture list putting a W,L or D next to each game. We are LIVERPOOL, we should have a W next to every game, however it's inevitable that some things will go against us.Originally posted by pablo1981 View PostYou are all mental if you think we are going to get 27 points from the next 10 games, completely mental. True. I expect us to win every game (possibly excluding Chelsea away where we always seem to get beat) but I am realistic enough to know that slip ups happen. They happen to all the big teams too. Its about keeping them to an absolute minimum.
I wouldnt be surprised to see us slip up in at least 3 of those 10 games and not take maximum points.
I'd say we will realistically take about 22 points from those games. That would put us on 39 points from 17 games and if we carried that form on through the rest of the season we would finish on 87 points. Title winning form

Can anyone tell me how many teams in the last 5 years have won 9 out of 10 games?
I agree with Pablo, reckon 22/23 would be decent enough. 1 loss and 2 draws, if we get 25 that will be great 27 and that will be title in bag by april form

Thing is though mate, we have the team to win all 38 league games, but in reality, it obviously doesnt happen.Originally posted by ukfootballfan101 View PostI don't agree with the whole 27 out of 30 would be great menality. 27 out of 30 would be incredible.
If we did that, i think we'd go on to win the title. It would equate to 44 points out of 51, which would be unbelievable.
