My mind is changed, how about yours....

If you asked me in the Summer if I would sell Kuyt I would have said yes, definitely. For 10m I would have bitten your hand off.

Now, I find my mind has completely changed and I see him as an invaluable asset to this team. His attitude and application epitomises everything our players should aspire to when they wear that red shirt.

So, my questions are fairly simple and I would be fascinated by the response.

Not a chance would I sell him, brings so much to the team and is finding a new lease of life out on the right. Was fantastic for 2nd half of last season as well!! Funny but always seems more prone to scoring from out on the right then up front!! Solid grafter!!

You're opening a can of worms here mate.

I've always thought he was a great asset and I just don't think you could replace the guy for any amount of money.

Every player, no matter how technically skilled they are, how big their merchandising value is, or which continent they were born in, should ALWAYS put in absolute maximum effort every game regardless of opposition and not the bare minimum. And when playing for LFC this means that every player should work as hard as Kuyt. So in this sense he's a shining example for the rest of the squad.

However my point is that everyone should be doing this anyway.
        Hello mert.

If only he was a bit quicker, had a bit more skill, had bit more creativity...
          We come not to play.

I hope not. I just want to show my appreciation for the guy and he has completely won me over.

He has worked his bollocks off and always gets slated by some no matter what he does.

              Completely agree with you mate.

The bit in bold is what worries me though.

Late winners aside in the last 6 months of football or so he has been invaluabe in creating chances and goals for others, Babel against Man U, his 2 runs against Everton for Torres to score and even Torres's 1st against Man City when he came inside to allow Stevie to play Arbeloa in for the cross.
I think this season we have seen Rafa's team as he wants it to be, how many times in the past when we are losing have we just lumped it and hoped, this season we are doing what Man U have done for years which is play football, get wide and put crosses into the 6 yard box and more often than not you create than 1 extra chance because you are stretching the defence.
Kuyt plays an integral part in the bigger machine. I'd go as far to say that for the role he performs in this current team he is irreplaceable.

At the moment all is well, the teams winning and every single player is contributing to our excellent run.At the moment,Kuyt along with every other player is perfect and we don't want to replace any of them.

I'm not sure this poll would be so complimentary to Kuyt if we had a run of a few loses and he squandered chances like he usually does.

But long may it continue.I ain't one of Kuyt's biggest fans and have voiced my opinions about him on many a occassion but at the moment i am gladly tucking into my slice of humble pie!

Now would not be the time to make that decision. He is a vital player at the moment and we need him. He is finding good form and if he continues like this then he could go on a good scoring run

Always thought he was an excellent squad player, at present he's even worth his start the way results are panning out, if he can just get the odd goal now to add to his all round effort then i would keep him whatever the offer.......unless it's really silly money, maybe even then?.

Is my mind changed about how good a footballer he is?

Not a chance – he is limited and always will be.

Is my mind changed regarding his worth to the team?

Yes. As things stand he’d be in my first eleven.

I never wanted him sold so I don’t have to change my stance but I am happy to accept that the guy is now well worth his place in the starting XI. I did say we’d never win the league with Dirk as a regular. Now, I’m not so sure that's the case.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

And that shows it takes all sorts/types/styles of player to make a good team.
