still don't rate him not in the class of Torres, Crouch or for that matter Heskey but he was playing centre forward, that's his position, i'm happy to prove me wrong in that position. His record in the dutch league was great, but out wide he's not right, much as we all love him working hard. Ask him where he'd prefer to play and then ask who'd you rather have playing there.

If you read Hamshanks other posts you'll realise he knows very little about football per se, but more about winding up other posters and provoking debate...the kinda poster site owners love as it keeps the site ticking over. DJS was a similar poster, but overstepped the mark on too many occassions...but he still lives on, in another form. IMO.

Kuyt was great yesterday again and the fact he is pretty much always in the top 3 of most peoples man of the match on here speaks volumes. I LOVE HIM!!!!

The only thing we've ever wanted for this site is for it to be a friendly and welcoming place for lfc fans from all over the world, whatever their backgrounds and opinions, to interact and discuss the greatest football team in the world. Well, i've seen nothing that proves otherwise to me on here...there was a period when certain posters were posting negative diatribes and unfounded rumours in every thread going, always thread-jacking to get their points across. And it was obviously getting peoples backs up, with whole pages of arguments, name-calling and posters putting each other on ignore...this is as you say a place where people come to talk about Liverpool...to talk about a club we love, a manager who is building a side that looks like it's going places, and the last thing those people needed to see was the same people, posting the same ****e, post after post, thread after thread, and generally getting a lot of peoples backs up. Yes, people have different viewpoints, i respect that, but i didn't want to have to read about it in every thread.

There were a number of posters expressing dissatissfaction with the general atmosphere being created, and nothing seemed to be done about it at the time...but now all is rosy, the club are performing, and some posters seem to have given up on their personal crusades...but wait til we lose a game. all hell will no doubt break loose.

If I could, I'd gladly show you the page after page of mod-hair tearing out (well, apart from Reece who has no hair to tear obviously) in the mod-forum over some of the nonsense that's gone on here over time, none of us like it and most certainly none of us want it. But its not as easy to deal with as you might think, there seems to be an attitude that somehow we could just have snapped our fingers and everything would have been fine... I wish it were as easy as that really, but its not.

No matter what we do, and we've done plenty, we just get **** about it from all sides, and people on all those sides carry on regardless of what we ask, cajole, direct or insist upon. To be frank, it really pisses me off; we put a hell of a lot into trying to keep this place afloat, both in terms of time, and money, and all that ever happens is it gets thrown back in our faces time after time after time like somehow we're responsible for the lack of positive contributions made by members who would rather bitch at each other than discuss things like adults. We spend ages pruning threads, banning wums, pm'ing people trying to sort problems out, and all sorts of other stuff, but because we don't shout about it, and because we try to be as inclusive and fair as possible, and try to run this site in the way it should be, without autocratic meglomaniacs telling people how to post and what to post, we just get told that we do nothing.

If we really did nothing then you'd see what a state this place would become, shortly before it ceased to exist that is.

As good as Kuyt has been so far this season, the above is about right for me.

I'm not sure it is I think a lot of people wouldn't vote for Kuyt for second or third in a lot of matches as they aren't a fan when he probably has been as good as anyone else in our bad performances. Not saying he would be topping the list or anything just that a players popularity does influence the rating and Kuyt is a player who is not to everyones taste.
