Very unlucky not to have had a hat trick today, Kirkland's save from that drive of his was absolutely top drawer. Couldn't be more pleased for Dirk, no player deserves a few goals more than he does.

Well, here we are in a room with two manky hookers and a racist dwarf. I think I'm heading home.

I feel ashamed. The guy isn't quick and isn't very skillful, but he's a ****ing winner and I completely understand why he's one of the first names in the team sheet. Having an amazing season so far.

I don't rate him as a striker or a wide player but if he is to play anywhere it is up front. I think him and Torres could be good together and maybe we should have spent the Keane money on a wide player but hindsight is 20/20.

He has been superb this season though and deserves every bit of praise, well in Dirk.

Were you thinking of my comments during that match

On a different issue I really think that Kuyt is getting the reward for his hard work now. What we are seeing might in some ways be a fluke in terms of the proliferation of goals but I think we will see him contribute these more regularly. He isn't doing all that much different to say last year but the confidence he has now makes a subtle but important difference. He may not have tried the scissors kick last year and if he had it would have been with hope rather than expectation.

Kuyt was great yesterday again and the fact he is pretty much always in the top 3 of most peoples man of the match on here speaks volumes. I LOVE HIM!!!!

Still in classic Kuyt style, the scissors-kick is scuffed straight into the ground and in via a touch from the keeper.

                      They all count!

He has scored an inordinate amount of 'last-gasp' winners lately. Fantastic stuff. Long may he continue shutting me up.

still don't rate him not in the class of Torres, Crouch or for that matter Heskey but he was playing centre forward, that's his position, i'm happy to prove me wrong in that position. His record in the dutch league was great, but out wide he's not right, much as we all love him working hard. Ask him where he'd prefer to play and then ask who'd you rather have playing there.

Doh! Was surprised (pleasantly) to see he got a brace. I want him to do well and would take no satisfaction if he didn't. Long may it continue (until the end of the season!)

Ahh, now I've read back, your ''brilliant, insightful and eloquent comments'' have left me embarrassed. I apologise that I didn’t elaborate on my responses to your points and put in as much time and research that you clearly have.
