Are you sure? I always thought he played out wide for Ajax, at least as one of the wide players up top in a 4-3-3 formation.

I may be in the monority but I prefer him out wide than up top, he just isnt composed enough for me.

Don't confuse him with facts, mate.

He played as a wide striker, but a striker nonetheless. He isnt a 'midfielder', he can play wide forward in a 4231 but he isnt a wide midfielder in a 442.

i do hope we play 2 upfront, but reckcon both sides will line up 4231 and cancel each other out.

spot on. He always played on the left in a 433 with Huntelaar in the middle. Koemann did used to play some 442 though, mostly in the CL. You can tell when he plays through the middle that he's not been coached in that position. He plays it like a winger does. Doesn't hold up play, just turns and runs, usually straight into the massed defence

We can all rest easy lads, the win is assured.

Once again that **** Merson has predicted we'll lose.

I've a horrible feeling Skrtel's absense will be felt tomorrow.
Agger's fine for the silky, building from the back **** but when it comes to the rough and tumble Martin's yer man.

That said if we can keep it tight at the back, who knows. Hopefully Gerrard, Kuyt or some one of our attacking men can come up with a bit of magic.

The guys have been doing fantastic lately, they deserve a little confidence.

I know, normally when we're confident it comes back and bites us in the arse, leading to heartache and tears, but **** it.

They're fighting for everything at the moment and have earnt our hopes again.

We're gunna win this one. Come on lads have it!!!!

                        I hope so bud but,

even if he doesn't make it, we've showed that we have the mentality and strenth to cope without him to beat ANY team out there on the day

the tide turned in the semi final when skertl went off injured. until then dogba was in his pocket.

as much as it pains me the future is skertl and agger.
