Most definitely. I can see the Chav's and Manure coasting in their respective games. Arsenal may have a trickier game now that Harry's at the Spurs.
Need a pretty solid November to keep our noses in front till Xmas and then kick on to glory!

i think the fact that Arsenal play both the mancs and chavs will help - there will be a few points won/lost in those two games and it may even reall damage a team - eg if arsenal lost both games, that could be them out esp if we beat them before xmasOriginally posted by Dessy View Post

It's great though - every game so far this season has been liverpool's most important game yet.....if we win tonight, then spurs at the weekend becomes another big game - it's how it should be and hopefully this will continue and we put an unbeaten run of like 20 league games together.
I'm unsure about tonight - i;m hoping the players are fired up, the crowd is fired up and we get at them early - like any team coming to anfield if we score early/first and get to half time at least 1-0 up - we will prb go on to win comfortably. But if we get to half time and it's 0-0 or worse, it's going to be a tough 2nd half - pompey are going to be as tight as possible - we need to break them down and get right at them from the start - if keane is fit - i'd consider a 4-3-3 playing gerrard alonso mascher in midfield and keane up front and babel/kuyt either side - get at them, run them ragged and get the three points.i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

I don't think Pompey are a naturally 'tight' team and the absence of Campbell and Johnson won't help them either. We should be able to break them down relatively quickly, i.e anytime during first half please.Originally posted by PTP View Posti think the fact that Arsenal play both the mancs and chavs will help - there will be a few points won/lost in those two games and it may even reall damage a team - eg if arsenal lost both games, that could be them out esp if we beat them before xmas

Comfortable 2/3 nil win on the cards and 3 points in the bag.

If the players and fans can't get fired up being top of the league then there's some serious problems, this is where we've been wanting to be for a long time now and it's time to take advantage. We're leading the title chase and deservedly so at the moment, we've beaten 2 of our closest rivals already along with the Bitters in the Derby so we just need to make sure we don't slip up like we did at Stoke after the Utd game.We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

I totally agree - i am going tonight, and i willl hold my hands - this is the type of fixture over the last few seasons were 99% of fans have turned up, not wanted to be there, it's been a dire game and dire atmosphere etc etcOriginally posted by Gaz View PostIf the players and fans can't get fired up being top of the league then there's some serious problems, this is where we've been wanting to be for a long time now and it's time to take advantage. but i can't wait for tonight - i can't wait to get out of work, meet my mates and do are usually going the matc h routine and get to the pub for a few beers followed by some dodgy burger outside the gorund and then get into the kop and ****ing roar. Hopefully i'm not the only one and hopefully the players can't wait to get out there too.
As u say tho with regards a slip up - thats what makes this game so important - a win (to the media and rival fans anyway) will just be another win that we should do and nothing will be made of it - but u just know a draw or loss and there would be a frenzy tomorrow from the press, rival fans and also our fans too complaing how when ever we play well against some good we are always crap the next game - the players will know this is how people are thinking too - they need to use it as motivation to go out and prove we can cope,i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

i don't think we've played many midweek games at home in the league since rafa arrived. last one i remember was when that **** bramble equalised.
what i do remember though is champions league nights i never feel the cold, league games i dread - they're always ****in freezin no matter how many layers i have on.
today is the first midweek league game though where a win will keep us top of the league.

Getting a bit nervous myself. We cant afford to be slack because Pompey have 3 or 4 players that can do serious damage.
3 points are a must."Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. Im not the thief who grabs your purse. Im not the guy who jacks your car. Im not down with the people who steal and hurt others. Im just a brother who fight back."

We are the league leaders ffs, and they show arse-spurs and hull-chelski, wtf.
There was only one game in the prem with us last year they didn't show, and then their excuse was that they had to show the league leaders which was arse or something...
They will show us two hours delayed, ******s!

Also remember another Pompey game.. Finished 0-0 and i was sitting close enough to smell that annoying toothless bell end that was topless on a freezing night in the Anny Road end.Vive la France

Every single game feels like a cup final against a World History XI. In my head Crouch and Defoe are as dangeour as Eusebio and Pele. Every team just feels like a huge threat and a potential banana skin. It's nerve-wracking stuff.
Normally once the game starts I have settled down and realised that we will **** them, but the days leading up to the game always end up in blind panic.
If we win tonight it will be a phenomenal 26 points out of 30, with United and Chelsea already put to the sword. It all just seems too good to be true. Are we really challenging? Wake me up because I must be dreaming
Mate I'm glad you're out of the squad for tonights game
