Hes a squad player, that he gets more games than he should says everything about our left back position. Dossena looks like the scouts/manager got it wrong but ill give him more time. Personally i thought Insua played well when he got the opportunity at the end of last year, id be happy enough for him to play some games.

          Nah.

          Fabio Aurelio is INJURY PRONE

          Left foot: INJURY PRONE
          Right foot: INJURY PRONE
          Groin: INJURY PRONE
Both legs: INJURY PRONE (being generous here)
          little finger: INJURY PRONE

He is INJURY PRONE. This isn't enough.

IF the fecker ever stayed fit for long enough he'd be a cracking player. Instead you end up with performances like tonight while he is trying to get match fit again.

Thought he was useless tonight. He was in great form before last year's major injury though.

Nope cant agree with that. I think Insua is a good attacking full-back but there are clear flaws in his defensive play. He gets caught out of position far too often and looks dodgy

Alas, I have to agree. He gets caught out in reserves games far too often. Admittedly, it's usually up the pitch and the CHs usually have a chance to recover, but he most definitely is not the player AFII promised us he was.

I'd get him some minutes this year to see if he improves by playing with better players, but like -V- I have my doubts.

Has the potential to be very good, but needs a bit more pace imo.

he had a shocker tonight esp in the first half but was willing to keep himself involved and keep looking for the ball. he wasn't the only one giving the ball away alot either. seen him play a good few very good games for us between injuries particularly last season.

The truth is, both full back positions are wanting.

We need a 1st class right and left full back.

                      Aurellio is not good enough.

Aurelio was brilliant against Man Utd and Chelsea so he's obviously a good player. This is his first bad game for a long time. Yet he still managed to whip in quite a few good crosses

He's been injured too consistently to be able to display his real form. He needs to play in 10 consecutive games to cement himself in the team and I doubt with his current injury record that he can manage that.

Arebola has been rock solid for me thus far and looks more than up for it defensively and going forward .. surely you are not having a pop at him .hes been one of our best players this season

If we are to pick up frailties in our team each time it loses or draws, we will never finish. We're still in there and it is impossible for any team to keep up the same level of performance week in week out. It's all about the results and last night we got one, despite being lucky.

Aurelio is a good player but he has never been able to play consistently to really cement his place. I certainly feel it's stupid to create threads about players after a bad performance as football is a team game.
