But wasn't N'Gog a replacement for the Crouch style player, which Nemeth obviously isn't. It's all about having possibilities no?

We don't play with a Crouch type of player. We also have Babel who is miles better than him.

I don't understand at all why Rafa signed Ngog and I probably never will.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Well no not as part of Rafa's first choice game plan we don't, but as I said he likes to have possibilities. Babel is not really a Crouch type player either.

Ngog isn't even a possibility if you ask me. Other players is simply better than him.

I think Rafa made a gamble, not the first time that happened. He wasn't that expensive so we will get the money back if he isn't good enough.

It's called a no risk gamble.

              That it is sir.

BTW I'm not trying to argue that N'Gog was a good signing I'm just arguing Rafa's possible reasoning for it

Every manager make gambles in the transfer market, I have no problems with that. If you succeed then you will save the club £10m+.

I see him as a gamble. Rafa will sell him off if he isn't good enough. We don't have that much money so Rafa will have to make a gamble or two.

I'm bored so here's my FA Cup team for this year:

                  Cavawotsit

                  Darby Hyypia Skrtel/San Jose Insua

                  El Zhar Gerrard Lucas Babel

                  Nemeth N'gog

The FA Cup needs a stronger team than that, we actually want to win this one.

Yes we do. I want us to play at Wembley.

If you take no risk, it certainly can't be a gamble now can it?

If you gamble you do take risks. No?

The gamble was whether or not N'gog would be good enough.

If you're going to be pedantic then you've got to be right.
                            .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

And if he wasn't good enough we will get our money back, so.... no gamble?

No, it's not a financial gamble but it is a gamble as if he plays and is crap and we lose because then the team would have been better if someone better had played.

All the same I agree a "no risk gamble" is an oxymoron.

I suggest we stop this soon as it's wearing me out. I wish I'd never got involved to be honest.
