Thanjk you.

Surely work permits define whether you can be employed by a UK company, not which games you are eligible to play in.
The permit was revoked this summer.
He never had a work permit. He joined Liverpool on an Italian passport so didn't need a work permit - the passport proved to be dodgy!!
Liverpool then applied for a work permit as Argentinians require one to work on this country, but the DOE refused to sanction it hence why he is now out on loan and is not likely to play for Liverpool again unless he starts playing regularly to the Argentina national team.

Far too early to write him off, but he plainly isn't ready for the first team.
The lack of touch and composure you can put down to nerves, but he so far hasn't competed in any of the games he's played.
Easily knocked off the ball, and can not (will not) compete in the air.
I think he needs a good run in the reserves to toughen him up a bit, and improve confidence.
No wonder Keane was a bit miffed. I was too.
I got a bit of kicking for starting this thread last week.
A lot of comments from last night's game are far more harsh than this.
Yesterdays game was the perfect game for him to try and show what he can do. Unfortunately, the service he got was poor, but he still really struggled to impose himself.
I hope he can turn it round as we could do with a pacey striker to fill in for Torres. His scoring record for the French u21s is good, so he probably knows where the goal is. The trouble is, he does not look like getting a shot.
I said it last night and I'll say it again. I thought he actually did a decent job of holding the ball up in the second half. He got **** all decent service to be fair. Although there was a bit of an air shot late on in the game after a great ball in from Insua

Do the DOE give a reason when they decide to knock back an application?
It's weird that any footballer earning thousands each week wouldn't be allowed to ply his trade.

I don't remember him holding the ball up.
I honestly can't remember him doing anything apart from the air shot.
Maybe I stopped paying attention in the second half.
I don't know what has happened to him, I was at the Rangers friendly and he is now a shadow of the player that he was in that game. I know it was a friendly but the way he attacked the ball in that game scoring once and coming incredibly close with another attempt is completley different to what has been seen from him since.
Reggie you're on a windup surely? I saw three instances where El Zhar, Insua and Babel laid the ball to Ngog in the 2nd half hoping for a simple touch back, and he completely f*cked it up. One of them could have easily resulted in a goal and El Zhar looking at the heavens said it all for me.
Ngog was actually even worse in the 2nd half compared to his Mr Invisible impression in the 1st. Rafa asked the question, Ngog answered it. Rafa's happy, I'm happy.
