    Build up - Bolton Away

Enough of that Carling Cup nonsense, the games are coming thick and fast and it's back to the bread and butter this weekend.

For me, most of the team picks itself and there's only a couple of places up for grabs.

Should Torres start or should he be used from the bench? He looked better coming on against West Brom than he did starting last night, I'd be tempted to wait an hour and let him loose against tired legs.

Do we stick with Degen if he's not injured himself again? The lad is clearly suffering from a lack of match practice and confidence. He's obviously not as bad a player as he's looked so far so do we put him in with the first team and hope he improves or does Darby get a go?

I really hope Darby gets a chance against Bolton. It will be Degen though. Or maybe Carra at RB and Sami and Agger in the middle. Sami will just swat that dirty ****er Davies aside.
I think we should start with Torres. Put our best team out, get rid of any doubts in the team and give Bolton a right good beating.

What is our best team? Is 4-2-3-1 with Torres at the spearhead? 4-4-2 with Keane and Nando up front? If so who drops out of CM?

Some tough decisions to be made for me. No idea who should play at right-back. Degen went off with an injury so really it leaves Darby or Carra…

Don't give me tough questions this early in the morning! **** knows what our best team is

Degen's injury didn't really look that bad. Hopefully it's bad enough to keep him away from the team sheet on sat

I hope Torres isn't asked to lead the line on his own. 4-4-2 will do me until he gets his sharpness back...

Agreed that it might be Carra who shifts to right back but after a coffee I've decided I want to see Darby play. It's a perfect opportunity to give him a go - if not now then when's he ever going to get a chance?

Cheers... stick Darby in there then - he can fill Arbeloa's void.

He will go with Dossena at LB and Aurelio at RB

Massive game, these are the games that make champions.... The likes of Bolton, Blackburn, Boro away. Chelski are steam rolling these teams, I'd take a scrappy 1-0.

Carra will play RB. Most Bolton's play comes down the left with Samuel and Gardener, other than the lump it forward. So I can see Kyut and Carra lining up on that side. Agger looked fairly lost last night, but I put that down to Dossena making Agger think too much about covering his position. Sami will be the first name on the team sheet to deal with Davies and will join Agger. Aurellio at LB.

Then you're into the world of the unknown. 2-3-1 or 4-1-1 or 4-2. I can see a case for Mascherano not playing as Bolton's attacking play will by pass CM and go over them or around them. But I'd have him in there. The question is how adventureous will Rafa play it. Keane and Torres up front? Or just the one up top?

4-5-1 for me, with Torres to start and come off after 70 minutes after scoring 2, with a slight strain of something to keep him out of the international squad. Keane to start on the bench. I'm sure there will be plenty of twinges, knocks and strains in the physio's room on Monday morning.

                      Reina
                      Darby Carra Agger Aurelio
                      Kuyt Mascherano Alonso Riera/Babel
                      Keane Gerrard

Torres either wasn't interested or wasn't fit last night but either way I wouldn't start with him on Saturday.

Carra will play right back with Sami in at Centre Half to cope with Bolton launching it forward.
There is not a chance that Darby will make a full debut against Bolton, Rafa didn't even give him half an hour when we were 4-1 down last night as he was clearly hoping Degen could get 90 mins in.

I think we'll line up like this -
                          Reina
                          Carra, Hyypia, Agger, Aurelio
                          Mascher, Alonso
                          Kuyt, Gerrard, Riera.
                          Torres.

                            I'd definitely go with:

                            Reina
                            Carragher Hyypia Agger Aurelio
                            Mascherano Alonso
                            Kuyt Gerrard Riera
                            Torres

                            Subs:
Cavalieri, Darby, Dossena, Lucas, Pennant, Babel, Keane

Nah, i dont think Pepe will be asked to play in goal and left wing
