Well I guess the difference is that Rooney and Rio where "injured" before the Mancs game at the weekend, whereas Gerrard played the full 90 mins. Thing is it was far easier for them to "rest" those two for a home game against Stoke.

Thing is it was exactly the same for the last England game where Terry didn't play though injury yet he played the following weekend for Chelsea and **** all was said about it, whereas Gerrard missed the Croatia game as he had AN OPERATION yet the media were all over it when he came on against the Mancs the following game.
