I'm not saying you were one of these people at all, I'm just saying people seem to change their mind if it means they can use it as a stick to beat Rafa with.
i know where your coming from - i think if rafa wanted to make keane 'hungrier' if you like then drop him for 1 game maybe. its his call, me personally i would have started him. he may not be scoring but is 1 million times the player kuyt is.

im not trying to beat rafa with a stick but he certainly deserves critism for saturday imo.

Anytime a team like Liverpool drops points then the manager deserves some sort of criticisim. Unfortunately it goes beyond fair criticisim on these boards far to much.
It seems like people dont give the players, manager or the opposition the right amount of respect and demand we win every game. We will drop silly points during the season as its the hardest league in the world.

I don't get the whole"we should be 9 or whatever points clear" argument. Yes we shouldn't really have dropped these points but say we didn't and at the same time the Scum and Chelsea didn't drop points either then the league table would have a similar look to it that it does now.Its much of a muchness.

I'm just chuffed we've managed to hang on in the mix while our best forward is sat in the stands and now we're heading into the second half of the season in which we usually out perform the others so theres a lot to be optimistic about.

i think we can all except that Keane should've come on ahead for Lucas and also alot sooner than that sub was Made but he's hardly set the world alight so nobody knows if it would've made any difference.Kuyt played poorly and missed some good chances but whos to say that Keane in his current form wouldn't have done the same,if indeed he even found himself in those positions in the first place.

Incidently he was in Dublin last night at 10pm having a meal with his family which I thought was strange since I'd imagine he had training today.Maybe all is not well on the LFC front for him.

No game in the week, so the squad was probably given a day or two off.
                Reece, get off my wife.:whatever:

Kuyt's only really had one full season up front though mate and scored 12 goals in 34 games. Robbie Keane's record is very similar to that and he's been playing here years and years.

Not taking sides here, I think they're both really good players.

But on current form? Not living on past glories, but on form at current? People were crying out for Keane to be dropped/rested, cos he wasn't fulfilling the role he was brought in to do.

If i'm honest, i'd much rather Kuyt was out right, as he has made that place his own, and Keane/N'gog up front whilst Torres it out. But Keane is yet to find his feet at Anfield, and it's probably asking too much of N'gog to play the lone striker role...so the next best choice for the role is Kuyt. Not Babel, who has looked lethargic this season. Not Keane, who has not settled at all and seems to have zero confidence in front of goal. And not N'gog, a rookie and not ready to be put in at the deep end just yet.

Kuyt crossed the ball for the first and won the header for the second. Direct involvement in the two goals. If the defence had of did their job like they usually do we’d have got 3 points.

All hypothetical of course, but so too is saying if Keane was on for Kuyt we’d have won.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

People should read Dave U's comments in the thread of the same name on TLW.

Very Interesting as regards the situation between Rafa and Keane

What did he say? (not that I care what Usher says as he's a bit of an attention seeking whore).
