Well played mate. Constructive criticism is fine but abusing the manager just makes you look a total cunt.

But I am at a loss to explain Rafa's use of substitutes, aye. It looks like he's got his favourites and Dirk is one of them. He's not a centre-forward for me and he endured an utter nightmare today. Had Keane played so abysmally we all know he'd have got the hook.
      Woeful substitutions from Rafa today.

It's alright playing one up front at home when you've got Fernando Torres but it clearly wasn't working today.

Someone said recently that against these teams Rafa thinks far too much about the opposition and I think that was spot on - 5 minutes to go, we're crying out for options in the box and he brings on Lucas. WTF?

And whatever his problem with Babel is, he needs to get over it quickly.

Why single him out? He did ok apart from getting skinned by Mendy early on.

I just hope we get Torres back asap. Remember when rafa played 2-4-4 in one game? I thought this was the turning point for rafa but it seems to be 2 steps forward and 1 step back at times. Slowly but surely united are pegging us back. All we need is for rafa to do a Keegan LOL

dossena played his part for both their goals and it was clear hull targeted him and considered him to be our weak defensive link. this boy at best will be sold with degen in the summer. an experiment that has failed and failed very quickly

Other than playing 3 centre mids I'm not sure exactly what was so wrong with the starting line up? Hyypia has been playing well recently (and Hull are good at set pieces), who else were we going to play instead of Dossena - Insua? Much of a muchness there really. Benni scored last week so maybe deserved another start. I'm not saying it's the starting line up I would have gone with personally but I think too much is being made of that.

I would have bought on Babel earlier, and Keane at some point as well, but again I'm not sure why so much is being made of El Zhar being brought on because he has done so before and played good little cameos. Agree the Lucas sub was a strange one. But then people are crying out for Keane to be dropped yet he doesn't play and the same people whinge about that as well?

And once again I see loads of people on Kuyt's back. Plenty on here are saying he has been one of our best performers this season, yet one bad game and it's back to calling him things like "impotent donkey" etc. Why can't people on here show a little bit of respect to our players? Well I guess as Rafa has his favourites according to some, some fans have the players who they just can't wait to play badly so they can jump on their backs and say "told you so"!

Lets get one thing straight - I'm mightily frustrated about the result, and I by no means think Rafa is above criticism for anything today - but I've got better things to do on the rest of my Saturday then wallow about it on here.

                      Ah that's better

Well, it's been a great season for us so far, but today has convinced me we won't win the league under Rafa. Much as though I have believed all along that despite a few poor results, we could win it, today makes me thing that we can't. Rafa is truly a great manager but Dirk Kuyt up front on his own against Hull is inexcusable. We are a perfect team for playing away from home. Strong defenders and two holding midfielders. It works as was proven at Blackburn and Sunderland. But at home we only respond to being one down. Wigan, Hull, Boro, ManU. We cannot win the league by dropping so many points to ordinary teams at home. No way. It will take big mistakes by ManU and Chelsea to allow this to happen and I just can't see it.

Some really excellent performances today from Arbeloa, Gerrard and Alonso.
Some terrible performances from Dirk Kuyt, Yossi Bennyoun, Macherano and Dossena.

Arbeloa is a legendary right back. He was outstanding again today.
Gerrard was the only player who looked like he could score and was immense. He can't do it for the entire season though. Alonso was everywhere and was really box to box today.

Dossena - don't understand why Insua was dropped. Doss improved second half but he simply cannot defend and was shown up several times today. Get rid.
Mascherano - Don't know what has happened. He's a shadow of the player he was last season so far. Poor tackling and Carra was giving him a really hard time.
Bennyoun - never in a million years good enough to play for LFC. Totally disappeared in the second half and looked like he was trying to not get involved. Endlessly gave the ball away and took no responsibility. Dwells tool long on the ball to be effective in a high tempo game.
Kuyt - Has been very poor in recent games. His first touch is seriously costing us around the box. Summed up by the ball dropping to him in the box and his first touch leaves the ball 2 yards in front of him. He is not an out and out striker.

Rafa - We have made incredible progress under Rafa and we are top of the league. I'm sure most are still positive, but his decisions are costing us points that would have us out of sight. Its always a setup where we try not to concede and there seems to be no plan B. Baffling decisions to stick with Bennyoun and Kuyt until it was too late. Insua should have started and his sticking with the woeful Dossena shows a stubborness that is a big concern. I doubt we can win it now.

I doubt he can win us the league. Give me **** if you want, but this is my opinion.

I can't defend Rafa after that. Absolute Madness.

I said before the game that the line-up was shocking. We simply cannot win the league like this.

Today was Rafa's fault and so was the West Ham game.

30 minutes to go and we are being held 2-2. I bet you that just about everyone of you were screaming for Keane and Babel to be brought on. Everyone single one of us could see that Kuyt is not a lone striker and Riera was shattered after 60 minutes.

Instead Rafa leaves his £20m striker on the bench and only gives Babel 9 minutes. I was pulling my hair out........... I feel like crying thats how bad this result is.

I had noticed, and thank you

As you said to me before, it's time people cut the name calling to our players as well and show a bit of respect.

We badly miss Torres. A striker is clearly needed in January. Surely Babel would have been a better option to Kuyt up front?

I can only imagine the witch hunt if the guy who scored the own goal had been wearing number 2 and not number 23.
