Whatever you say, that's my opinion and i'm entitled to it. You're entitled to yours, so let's just accept the disagreement and leave it there.
I've not really seen anyone disagree with that so not entirely sure who you're debating with there.

Just because someone'e not being a whiny little drama queen doesn't mean they're happy with the result. Some people just try to find the positives as well as the negatives.

I mean we're top FFS. What else matters? Move on people, nothing to see, there's no wreck here!

I agree. Hull had Barmby playing who was spent around 5 years ago and Windass who is 39 and fat. We were too cautious and showed them way too much respect. If we keep approaching games like that we wont be top for long.

That, and that alone, is why i'm so concerned. Some people may think it wont happen and that we'll just improve our home form and start winning all the home games again and i hope they're right.

I didn't think we were cautious.

Honest question matt - if you were watching the game and watching us needing a winner, did you not think it might've been a good idea to bring on a striker?

Is that not something you'd tend to do when you're looking for a winning goal?

I would have liked to have another goal scorer available actually and we need that still imo. I don't Keane was what was needed.

There's certain merit in what you're saying and yes, we may well need another option that we dont currently have.

But Keane and N'gog are who we've got, whether we like it or not.

I cannot believe you were watching that game and genuinely not thinking 'bring on Keane', with 20 or 30 mins left.

If a striker is on the bench, surely that situation is exactly why he's there, otherwise what's the point of selecting him?

We were cautious until we went two down. When we got the equaliser we were cautious again. Rafa says throwing an extra striker into the box wont gaurantee you a goal, yet Sami was thrown up front for the last few minutes. If Rafa went for it and brought Keane and Babel on early, then we would have won imo.

Against Wigan we took off the two fullbacks and went for it and won. I dont see why we could not done it against Hull, a team of journeymen.
They came to Anfield and had a handy day really.

Have to agree with every word.

The wigan game showed that rafa can throw caution to the wind, which is sometimes needed, so credit to him for doing it then.

Why he couldnt do it on saturday, i'm not sure. But oh well.

Because Hull posed a greater threat maybe? Hull is 6th or 7th in the table and are one of the best away sides in the league. That maybe explains it.

At the end of the day we're still top and there's a long way to go. We're usually very strong in the latter stages in the league and I can safely say that we'll be very hard to dislodge as from now on. Statistics prove that we're very strong as from January onwards.

Last year we were out of it by then so it's a nice change to see us top. We can't be too critical aren't we?

They're hardly a top side though fredo.

It still smacks of being more worried about them, than trusting in our own ability.

They're fookin Hull, for god's sake, not Barcelona

And Spurs are relegation fodder but managed to draw with United. The way you analyse things tend to be a bit overkill sometimes mate. Football is never linear and following 'patterns'. It's based on form, confidence and whatever variables which can't be accounted for easily.

Still, we're top and a sure sign of our progress this season.

Not so sure Spurs are, they have 9 wins in their last 13 or something so I think they are coming out of that.

Its a strange thread though this is it about our home form or our inability to beat Hull? If we win the league but only win half our home games, then I for one would not give a flying ****. Because one thing for sure is, our away form to date is ****ing awesome.
