i suppose ultimately a lot of fans - football fans in general - would hope that in a situation like this, a multi-millionaire footballer with a dream lifestyle would have the wit to walk away from a situation where he is being wound up by a "manc" dj, assuming that's what happened. when you're part of a group that reacts, you can often get the blame in the wrong as well though. so i have no idea how innocent/guilty SG is.

sure fights happen and people gets fat lips and bloody noses but the usual internet hardmen ****in love these opportunities to show how soft the rest of us are for being uncomfortable with this. can i have your addresses please so that if you annoy me on here with anything you post, i can come around and "****" you - or your mam or your kids, if you're not there.

and there really would be "nothing to see" there? grow up - nothing more pathetic than supposedly grown men acting hard publicly. or even worse, while they're typing in their bedrooms.

to mention bottle or glass someone would seem to suggest you don't know exactly what happened therefore why don't you leave the speculating to the ****e rags and concentrate on what little facts we know,i.e he's been charged with ABH and affray, the facts of which or unknown and nothing has been proved.

Our own support needs to get behind him since theres plenty of ****s out there willing to hang him before his day in court

cheers for the heads up pal

The ECHO can confirm a dispute broke out after a song request was turned down.

At some stage a bottle was smashed over the head or face of the 34-year-old victim, but not by Gerrard.

Worst case scenario (In all reality) is this:

          1. A suspended sentence and community service with the obligatory crap fine.

          2. LFC strip him of the Catains armband

          3. He gets a bit more stick than ususal

          4. He looses a few sponsorship deals

          5. England live up to the promise they made of not picking players who got into bother.

          ------------------------------

A more realsitic view of future events is that he gets away with it scot free, he quite obviously was not drunk, quite obviously is not a thug in general terms, and quite obviously hangs around with enough mates who can sort out any bother that would come his way without Ste G getting involved.

Nothing to see here, next scandal move along.
I doubt that he will get away scot free. They most probably have everything on CCTV and that means that now when they decided to charge him then they have enough evidence on CCTV to think that they will succeed.

          IMO.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Only if Gerrard is adjudged to have played an active part in any attack is a jail sentence a realistic prospect for an individual with no previous convictions – despite yesterday's internet talk of five-year jail terms, the maximum tariff for the alleged offence in question.
This bit must be aimed in the general direction of AFII

The echo were there where they?

They're just reporting what various people say happened, dosen't mean for sure it did happen.

All we know for sure is he's been charged with a crime and all talk should end with that until the court case IMO

                            Thats just silly.

For me all this speculation about what he may or may not have done/been involved in is un helpful to him or the club and as supporters we shouldn't be doing it.It also borders on unsubstantiated rumours which there was a thread about warning people not to post unsubstantiated rumours about our players.

oooooh, nasty, and needless, the over the top act of a coward, only if you feel your life is in danger should such action ever be considered imo, what was the dj going to do...see the lot of em off, i doubt it very much, the 'mate' of Gerrard that did this is a fool, a fool that could have landed a friend with an awful lot to lose in deep ****.

It seems that the blokes injuries are'nt too bad, more by luck than judgement, because pictures of a victim with stitches in the face is not an image we would want to see featured in media reports concerning LFC.

Hopefully the fella will look ok...so that most people's impression is one of ..."he hardly touched him by the looks of it".
